There’s a certain cosmic irony in today’s alignment. And I admit I have been playing mouse on my vacation and ‘hoping’ it all works out. And I still think it will. But I had to hop on.
The Sun and Jupiter, two luminous giants of vitality and expansion, meet in the sign of Cancer — the sign of home, womb, land, and kin. This should be a signature of peace, of nurturing growth, of waves washing clean old wounds.
But at 3° Cancer, the Sabian symbol reads:
“A cat arguing with a mouse.”
On a global stage? We’re watching just that. Predator and prey locked in a cartoonish but deadly dance — one that echoes history’s most tired scripts. There’s a ceasefire, yes. But it feels like the long inhale before another chaotic push.
Because shadowing this union is Pluto in Aquarius, forming a tight quincunx to the Sun-Jupiter conjunction — a frictional angle of irritation and adjustment. This is the wild card. The disruptor. The digital underworld murmuring beneath the shell of domestic peace. It’s the hacker in the basement while a peace treaty is signed upstairs.
This quincunx can feel like invisible pressure: something doesn’t fit, doesn’t flow. Old power structures chafe under the promise of a new way. Expansion and optimism (Jupiter) must navigate the deep undercurrents of collective transformation (Pluto). We can’t bypass the shadows anymore.
So today, let’s get honest:
Where are you trying to “keep the peace” at the expense of truth?
Are you the cat, the mouse, or the observer watching the dance and choosing not to play?
What parts of you are arguing when they really want integration?
Tomorrow’s New Moon in Cancer asks for deep, embodied commitment to care. But today — today asks us to reckon with what we’re feeding. The mouse. The cat. Or the shadow hiding behind the scenes.
Choose wisely, little beasties.
