Happy MOON day! 

The Moon is now in the waxing crescent phase of the Lunar cycle this morning and on day 5 of this lunar cycle. The Moon has 19.1% light as I write.

The water grand trine between Venus, Mars, and Saturn and Nessus  in Scorpio, Cancer, and Pisces again dominates the early part of next week as I talk about on my week ahead podcast. That, combined with Jupiter stationing retrograde in Gemini on the 9th, bringing a massive shifting of air, makes me very concerned about Milton, the storm in the gulf and heading directly to Florida. Please consider evacuating if you are in the path, especially low lying areas.

Adding to the concern, Asteroid Milton is at 22˚ Sagittarius, opposing Jupiter, and the Sagittarius Moon will conjunct Milton right before Jupiter stations Retrograde. Weirdly, this is asteroid 4332 and Jupiter’s orbital period is 4332 days (approx). Jupiter also stations retrograde square to the midpoint of Saturn and Neptune at 21˚ Pisces.

The Milton/Jupiter opposition also squares Vesta in Virgo. 

There’s other indicators that this could be a big one, a lot of wind and a BIG push if water, plus rapid intensification. I recorded a podcast episode about it.

The waxing Moon is in fiery and fast moving Sagittarius today and conjuncts Pallas Athena and Asteroid Lilith, who are almost at their conjunction in Sagittarius as the two feisty feminine archetypes team up to fight for truth and justice.

The Moon then squares Saturn in Pisces, sextiles the Libra Sun (making the first major aspect to the Sun post Eclipse) and squares Nessus, This is one massive push of revelations around abuse and the crumbling and erosion of limitations and structures. It’s also a lot of inspiration and creativity but also a test of faith. 

Venus, the guide of that Eclipse we just had, in intense and potent Scorpio, perfects that water Grand trine today with trines to Mars in Cancer and Nessus in Pisces (after just trining Saturn). This speaks SURGE to me.

And the weather channel notification just popped up saying “Milton has rapidly strengthened into a Category 4 hurricane”. From what I read, it should be lower on landfill but the water it’s pushing NOW will build the storm surge. But again, it’s a rapidly shifting beast as Helene was. Remember when Helene suddenly exploded? It was quite shocking. However, this one is not going to follow Helene’s path thankfully.

Making this post free because it feels as if some need to know that astrology is powerful here. And this storm is hard to predict because it follows a rare model as to where it formed etc. Not much history to go on for the meteorologists. Not that they won’t be accurate, they are all on it.

As without, so with.

The energy feels rather stormy and churny. I had a disturbed night's sleep and feel rather discombobulated. My walk will sort me out and again I preach self care.

This energy is a LOT with the water grand trine and both Jupiter and Pluto stationing, retrograde and direct respectively.

Most of this energy is concentrated around 13˚-21˚ of all signs because Mercury in cardinal Libra also conjuncts sacred partnership asteroid Juno, trines stationed gas giant Jupiter, in Mercury guided Gemini, and opposes Chiron in Aries today at 20˚.

This forms a wedge configuration that has Mercury and Juno thinking about justice and balance in all relationships and staring at the gaping wound of overt Aries, forceful, bullying, and combative energy, and how we can be the higher energy of Aries, courageous, self-expressive, and bold, without being combative. The aspects to Jupiter as the planet stations retrograde in Mercury’s sign, point to thinking about where you may have been overly extreme, provocative, and hypocritical.

Where can you be more generous, expansive, and open to grace and listen to your deep inner wisdom?

Ultimately, Jupiter is about the urge to connect with something greater than the self, but the irony is that you are your greater self if you listen to all the deep wisdom you have learned in your lifetime. Think about where you may have been capricious or heartless at times (including with yourself) and where you can, instead be more curious and adaptable.

We are always a work in progress. 

Again, there’s a lot churning inside. A lot of swirling emotions and that’s exhausting with all of this water. However, there is enough fire and air to push you to action and to get moving to move those feelings through and process them.

The Moon is gaining light now so it’s time to begin to action your New Moon Eclipse intentions. It’s a lot though so getting out for that walk, or some other kind of movement, will help you to move through it. Perhaps regular short dance breaks? Whatever works for you. 

Things can feel as if they are falling apart under all of this energy. And some things will, but there’s also a lot of creative, positive energy amongst that all too. The purge and surge energy is happening within us all.

This card is the Mars card and we do have Mars in Cancer active in the water grand trine - forcing some releasing and letting go.

I love Angeles Arrien’s take on this card as ‘the principle of restoration, renovation, and de-structuring of old forms’. 

The card is a symbol of change and awakening that is required to dismantle that which is no longer working. 

Mars is also your drive and will, so this brings me back to being that strong , courageous, and bold self.
