It’s 12:00PM and I’ve spent my entire morning wrestling with tech instead of writing to you, which is its own small lesson in how much of “doing the work” is just... logistics. Mercury Retrograde, don’t sweat the small stuff. Anyway. Onward.

I got featured in Woman’s World this week talking about something that’s been a low simmer of irritation for me for years: how much of astrology online runs on fear.

You know the genre. Mercury retrograde as apocalypse. Saturn return as punishment. Every transit framed as something to “survive,” like your chart is a weather system actively trying to hurt you. It’s everywhere, it’s profitable, and it’s also a pretty effective way to keep people anxious and checking their horoscope app instead of trusting themselves.

Here’s what I told them, and it’s the thing I’ll probably still be saying when I’m 90:

The planets impel. They do not compel.

That’s it. That’s the whole reframe. Transits are weather, not fate — they tell you something about the climate you’re moving through, not a script you’re locked into. You’re in relationship with these energies, not at their mercy. The chart shows the landscape. You still choose how you walk it.

I think the fear-framing persists partly because certainty sells better than agency does. “Mars is about to wreck your week” is a punchier headline than “you have some choices to make about how you respond to friction this week.” But it’s also just... not true to how this actually works, and I’m tired of watching people outsource their inner authority to a transit calendar.

I’m linking here to a remarkable article on Substack by Mark Shryock titled “The World We Have Known Ends. This July. A New One Begins.” — it’s long, detailed, and worth every minute of your time. Much of what I discuss here is informed by it.

Who Was André Barbault?

André Barbault was a French astrologer who spent decades tracking what he called the Cyclical Index — a measurement system originally developed by Henri Joseph Gouchon in the 1930s and 40s.

The method is elegant: take the five slow-moving outer planets — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto — calculate the ten shortest angular distances between every possible pairing of those five, add them together, and you get a single number. When that number is low, the planets are clustered together on one side of the zodiac. When it’s high, they’re spread out.

Barbault found that low numbers correlated with collective crisis across centuries. He tracked this across the Black Death of 1347, the Great Plague of London in 1665, the Spanish Flu of 1918 — and he predicted, well in advance, a major collective crisis around 2020. He died on October 7th, 2019, and did not live to see the pandemic confirm his prediction.

But here’s the part I want you to hold: Barbault didn’t just identify the crisis periods. He tracked the rises as well. And he identified the period from 2026 to 2028 as a significant ascent of the Cyclical Index — a period of stability and recovery following the cluster of recent years.

He spotted something specific forming in this period. He called it the Basket.

Three Great Cycles at Once

Before we look at the Basket itself, I want to give you a sense of the depth of what’s being activated in July. This configuration doesn’t just trigger one planetary cycle. It triggers three of the great outer planet cycles simultaneously.

The Neptune-Pluto cycle (~492 years): began with their conjunction in 1891–92. This cycle represents the deep unconscious transformation of collective belief systems — the eruption of spiritual and psychological depths into cultural expression.

The Pluto-Uranus cycle (~113–141 years): seeded with their conjunction in 1965–66. That was the counterculture, civil rights, the birth of the space age and the digital age. We’re now in the trine phase of that cycle.

The Uranus-Neptune cycle (~170 years): began with their conjunction in 1993 — the World Wide Web, the end of the Cold War, the globalisation of consciousness.

Three cycles. One configuration. This July.

Barbault’s Own Words

In his 2014 book The Value of Astrology (translated into English by Kate Johnson and Roy Gillett), Barbault wrote that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction of 2026 — which we had at 0° Aries earlier this year — is “the most beneficial configuration of the century,” and that its “interplanetary partnership will work best in a splendid relaunch of civilization.” He described it as “a harmonious relationship between primordial polar opposites.”

And his final words on the Basket itself are, I think, the most important thing I can share with you:

“The New World Civilization is in full flight here. This entry into the second quarter of the century bears the stamp of the achievement of a new age of humanity. Whether this achievement manifests as liberation or as a more subtle form of control, as spiritual awakening or technological sedation, as solidarity or fragmentation — the geometry does not dictate. It describes the field of possibility. The rest is human choice.”

That last line. Write it down.

The Physics of It

I want to briefly mention something, because I think it matters that this isn’t just an astrological concept.

When the four giant planets — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune — gather on one side of the Sun, the solar system’s centre of mass shifts. NASA calls this the Solar System Barycentre. It can move more than 800,000 kilometres from the Sun’s centre — more than one full solar radius, outside the Sun’s surface. Jupiter alone accounts for most of this, being two and a half times the mass of all other planets combined. NASA has used the Barycentre for deep space navigation.

Barbault did not claim to know the mechanism by which this physical lopsidedness correlates with human events. He claimed the correlation was robust across centuries. I think that’s a claim worth taking seriously.

The Basket: What It Is

The Basket — also called the Cradle — is a specific geometric configuration involving Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter, all gathered at or around 4° of their respective signs:

• Pluto at 4° Aquarius

• Neptune at 4° Aries

• Uranus at 4° Gemini

• Jupiter at 4° Leo

These four form a pattern of flowing trines and sextiles around the zodiac — holding, cradling, supporting. Think of the basket literally: something is being held in it. Something is being birthed and placed into a cradle.

Barbault’s original formulation used only these four planets. But I’m also including Haumea in Scorpio as the handle of the basket — the Hawaiian goddess of pure regeneration, the one who births endlessly, who cycles through aging and renewal. She is almost exactly at the midpoint of Jupiter and Pluto. That feels anything but accidental.

The number four: stability. The four legs that hold the table steady. And the Emperor card in the Tarot — which, in the Red Seeds deck I use (rooted in the Eleusinian Mysteries of Demeter and Persephone), is Hades, Pluto himself. I Am Agency. Knowledge, power, authority, leadership, courage, and vision — from within.

How It Activates in July

The peak of the basket is generally identified as July 19th–20th, when Jupiter exactly opposes Pluto and the slow-moving outer planet aspects perfect simultaneously. But what I want you to understand is that this is not a moment — it’s a month. The Moon activates the basket again and again, passing through 4° of each sign in turn, and the personal planets join in sequence. Here is the shape of it:

July 2: Moon conjuncts Pluto and sextiles Neptune — the first activation at 4°. The basket is heating up.

July 4 (US Birthday): Mars conjuncts Uranus, then sextiles Neptune and trines Pluto. Uranus is only 6 minutes from 4°. This Mars-Uranus conjunction kicks off the basket — fast, electric, radical. What moves on this day moves quickly.

July 6: Moon conjuncts Neptune, sextiles Pluto, sextiles Uranus. Tightening, tightening.

July 9–11: Venus conjuncts Regulus, then the South Node. (More on this separately below.)

July 9: Moon squares Pluto at the midpoint of Neptune and Uranus, opposing Haumea.

July 11: Moon in Gemini conjuncts Uranus at 1:30am Eastern, sextiles Neptune at 1:50am, trines Pluto at 2:15am. All three in 45 minutes. We are not waiting for July 19th.

July 13: Moon squares Neptune; Venus reaches 4° and squares Uranus. The feminine is leading.

July 15: Moon at 4° Leo sextiles Uranus (1:39am), trines Neptune (1:42am — three minutes later), opposes Pluto (1:58am — sixteen minutes after that). Just before this, the Moon conjuncts Jupiter. And on this same day: Uranus exactly sextiles Neptune — the first perfection of a major outer planet aspect in this configuration.

July 17: The South Node and Regulus meet exactly — for the first time since Regulus moved into Virgo from Leo in 2011. The Moon forms a Yod — a finger of destiny — with Neptune and Pluto pointing at it. I think this is one of the focal points of the whole month.

July 18: Uranus exactly trines Pluto.

July 19 — The Peak:

• 8:39am: Moon sextiles Jupiter

• 8:58am: Moon opposes Neptune

• 9:08am: Moon trines Pluto

• 9:17am: Moon trines Uranus

The entire basket activated in 38 minutes. And Jupiter begins to oppose Pluto.

July 20: Jupiter trines Neptune, then exactly opposes Pluto. Jupiter is the expander, the great magnifier. When Jupiter reaches 4° Leo and faces Pluto across the axis, this is the lid of the basket fully in place.

July 21: Jupiter sextiles Uranus. The Moon moves into Scorpio, passes Haumea, and becomes the handle of the basket — at which point we also have a wide fixed Grand Cross. And Juno — the Queen of the Gods, our sacred contracts, women and children and community — is now also at 4°, opposing Jupiter exactly.

July 22: Juno exactly trines Uranus.

July 23: Juno conjuncts Pluto at 4°, then sextiles Neptune. Juno has been traveling with Pluto, passed him, retrograded back over him, and will go over him again. The death and rebirth of our sacred contracts with each other — the old paradigm of dominance being met by the Queen and found wanting.

July 24: Moon at 4° Sagittarius forms sextiles to Pluto and Juno, trines Neptune, opposes Uranus. Two baskets simultaneously.

July 25: Neptune exactly sextiles Pluto.

July 26: Moon at 4° Capricorn squares Neptune, becomes the point of another Yod.

July 27: The Sun reaches 4° Leo and opposes Pluto, trines Neptune, sextiles Uranus. The Sun — the centre of our solar system — becomes the lid of the basket. The core, not just the expansion. This is creating the new in unparalleled ways.

July 29: The Sun and Jupiter meet at 6° Leo — where Ceres will be in the second basket in June 2027. The first basket seeds the second.

The Venus-South Node-Regulus Meeting

Alongside the basket, there is a second major event in July that I believe is deeply connected to everything else.

Regulus is the Royal Star — one of the four great fixed stars of antiquity. From our perspective, it moved from Leo into Virgo in late 2011, where it will remain for approximately 2,160 years. It spent 2,160 years in Leo — the sign of kings and power-over — and now it is in Virgo.

The South Node is the drain — the point of releasing, of letting go of what we’ve been carrying from the past. The South Node approaches Regulus this month for the first time since Regulus entered Virgo.

Venus leads the way. She enters Virgo and meets Regulus on July 9th, then meets the South Node on July 10th. All of this happens at 0° Virgo — a world point, a beginning. This triple meeting also forms a mystic rectangle with a trine to Chiron and a loose sextile to Haumea.

And then on July 17th, the South Node and Regulus meet exactly.

What are we releasing? The age of the king. The 2,160 years of Regulus in Leo, of leadership through power-over, of the hierarchical principle as the primary organising force of human society. Venus is leading it down the drain. Venus, the feminine principle, leading the age of kings to the release point. And then moving on — toward the North Node, toward what comes next.

This is not just metaphor. This is in the chart.

What This Means

I want to be clear about what Barbault himself was clear about: the geometry describes the field of possibility. The rest is human choice.

This is not a guaranteed golden age. It is not fate. The basket describes an extraordinary window — a rising Cyclical Index, multiple great cycles activated simultaneously, the Barycentre shifting as the planets gather and then spread out. Whether what emerges from this window is liberation or control, spiritual awakening or technological sedation, solidarity or fragmentation — that is ours to determine.

I believe it will be liberation. I believe it will be awakening. I believe it will be solidarity. And I believe this not because the chart compels it, but because of what I see in the world alongside the chart — the people changing, the perceptions shifting, the tables being turned one by one. But it requires each of us to step into our part.

July is the start of the biggest shift in human consciousness in living memory. Probably longer.

The Card: Spider-Woman

I pulled from the Witch Oracle deck for this video, and Spider-Woman arrived.

The old story of Grandmother Spider goes like this. A mighty hunter goes looking for a powerful symbol for his people — elk, deer, buffalo — and instead walks face-first into a giant spiderweb. He demands to know: why should I use you? You’re not powerful like buffalo, not swift like deer.

Grandmother Spider answers:

“You who run over the plains and forests looking for a symbol, spending so much energy — how much more powerful am I, who builds a net and lets my food and my answers come to me? I have no travel, no big expenditure of energy. I simply build my silk net and let sustenance come to me. Now is the time to build your net. The answers, the resources, and the solutions will come to you.”

The card continues: A witch creates an intentional web. She lines it with silken hope, thoughtful preparation, and badass skills. Then she invites and waits and watches. She trusts Grandmother Spider’s example and allows the answers to come to her.

This is exactly the energy of the basket. Flowing, receiving, drawing in. Not forcing. The net is being built — has been being built, planet by planet, degree by degree, activation by activation. The basket is the cosmic net. What it catches is up to us.

Summing Up

André Barbault, who died just months before the pandemic he predicted, left us with this: the first basket — the one forming right now, peaking in July — sits inside a broader window of rising collective index from 2026 to 2028. The cyclical index peaks. The second basket comes in June 2027 at 6°, with Ceres as the handle — the Great Mother herself. By November 2027, the North Node meets Pluto at 4° Aquarius. And the Pluto-Haumea square — that long, grinding, decade-long process of death and regeneration — makes its final exact aspect in 2028.

This is the shape of the next few years. We are inside it now.

We are going to be okay. Not because the planets say so — because of what we do with the field of possibility they are describing.

The Full Moon

The Capricorn Full Moon is exact on June 29th at 7:56pm Eastern — which means for those of you in the UK, Australia, and further east, this is June 30th. As always, adjust for your time zone.

The Moon is at 8° Capricorn, with the Sun opposing from 8° Cancer. The Moon is out of bounds — we’ve had a series of out-of-bounds full moons lately, and we’re still under what’s called the lunar maximum, meaning the Moon is going quite far beyond the Sun’s declination. This adds intensity, potency, and a wildcard quality. Things may happen that are beyond the normal range. We may be called to act beyond it too.

The Number

Eight. The infinity loop on its side. Continuous cycles, eternal flow of giving and receiving.

Eight is the number of cosmic balance — sometimes called the great karmic equalizer — and it represents the balance between the spiritual and material worlds. Which is exactly the theme we keep returning to: we have been heavily weighted toward the material, the rational, the measurable. The eight is asking us to let the other side come back into its rightful place.

Personally, eight is a number of power, ambition, and leadership — but not in the old way. Not in the I’m-at-the-top-of-the-hierarchy way. In the new way. Manifesting from a place of wholeness. Leading from love. And in the Chinese tradition, eight is associated with wealth, fortune, and prosperity — which I take to mean the holistic kind: abundance in all its forms, not only money.

The Astrology

This is a cardinal Full Moon — and cardinal signs initiate. They begin things. Full moons illuminate and release, but in cardinal signs they release with purpose: we’re moving somewhere new from here.

The Cancer/Capricorn axis is the axis of birth and old age, family and the structures we build, what makes us feel safe and what we create from that safety. Cancer is the Moon’s own sign — the crab, the shell on its back, pincers drawn in, home carried everywhere. It’s what makes us feel secure. Capricorn is what we build from there: the structures, the long-term creations, the determination to make something that lasts. This full moon is asking: what are we releasing from the old way of building, so that we can build something genuinely new?

The full moon has no tight aspects to the major bodies, but it sits widely square to both Neptune and Saturn. Their midpoint is around 9° Aries — so the full moon is effectively squaring the midpoint of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction we had in Aries earlier this year. That conjunction was about the dissolution of old structures and the beginning of building new ones — the material world meeting the intuitive, spiritual world. This full moon is activating that conjunction again, repeating the message: integrate the physical and the source. Integrate the rational and the intuitive. Both brain hemispheres, both ways of knowing. This is what we’re building toward.

The full moon also makes an aspect to Hekate in Pisces — the triple moon goddess, the torchbearer, the way-shower at the crossroads. Even here, she is shining her torch. This is the path.

The Mutable T-Square

The other big configuration at this full moon is a mutable T-square: Mars in Gemini, squaring the Nodes, with the South Node approaching Regulus and the North Node (with Hecate nearby) at the other end.

Mutable T-squares are about adaptability. Change, changing, being changed. And this one involves the Nodes — which means it’s a genuine turning point.

The South Node in Virgo is heading toward its first conjunction with fixed star Regulus since Regulus shifted into Virgo from Leo in 2011. Regulus spent about 2,160 years in Leo — the sign of kings and power-over and hierarchy. Now it’s in Virgo. And the South Node — the release point, the drain, what we’re letting go of — is approaching it for the first time. We are letting go of the age of kings. Not all of Virgo — the shadow of Virgo, the unhealthy patterns: hyper-criticism, perfectionism, the idea that there’s only one right way to do things. And we’re being called toward the North Node in Pisces: interconnectedness, inner knowing, the felt sense of being part of something larger.

Mars in Gemini is at the apex of this T-square — the activating force, the driver. Mars in Gemini is fast, communicative, idea-driven, adaptive. And Mars is heading toward Sedna — whose story is one of profound adaptation, of being thrown into a terrible situation and discovering an entirely new way of being from within it. Adapt or transform. Those are the options. Not because the change is being done to you — but because the clock on the old way has run out.

This extends to everything. Whether you believe in human-caused climate change or not doesn’t change the fact that the climate is changing and the weather patterns are genuinely strange. Whether you love AI or hate it doesn’t change the fact that it’s already woven into everything. These are not things we can unsee or pretend away. The invitation — and it is an invitation, not a compulsion — is to ask: how do we adapt in ways that are genuinely good? How do we use what exists for something that actually helps?

The full moon in Capricorn says: take responsibility. The square to Saturn says: build something from that responsibility. The Hopi prophecy said it too — we are the ones we are waiting for. The planets don’t make the change. They bring the shifts and the conditions. What we do with it is ours.

The Symbols

Sabian Symbol (9° Capricorn): An angel carrying a harp.

James Burgess: “This is about love, harmony, and beauty. Everything flows within us and around us, and when we can hear the universal sound of this, we are in alignment with life itself. To the awakened being, it is clear that all life is not other than the expression of a single sound — the word of Genesis, the music of the spheres, the rhythm of life. Unless we tune in to that universal, eternal note, we will not hear the voice of the cosmos. The melody is one of harmony and beauty, carried with love as its tone. In order to tune in, these are the qualities we seek to embody as a way of life.”

This is what astrology, at its best, is about. Tuning in to the rhythms. Hearing the note. Not because it tells us what to do, but because it helps us remember that we are part of something that is always already in motion.

Omega Symbol: A woman thinks of all the things that have died and rotted to make the soil.

An interacting, responsible degree. This degree realises the richness of life and seems to know how to enrich anything in which it’s involved. It helps others to be more aware of the constant presence of change in life, and hence the need to completely savour and enjoy the moment. It tunes people into the tremendous abundance around them and helps them to tap into it.

The death and the rotting are not the end of the story. They are what makes the soil. This full moon sees that.

Chandra Symbol: A woman washes a man’s feet and dries them with her hair.

I’ll be honest — when I first read this one, I was a little triggered. We know how women’s bodies and women’s service have been used and exploited. But reading it as metaphor — which is how Sandbach intends it — it becomes something else entirely.

The rational so-called male mind is supported here by the feminine. Feet signify understanding, here purified and cleansed of all darkness by the Great Mother. This degree is trying to bring objectivity back into wholeness by always injecting everything with love and forgiveness — with being soft, and giving everyone as many breaks as they need. Playing a secondary role is, yes, humbling — but if it is for a higher purpose, never demeaning.

The feminine supporting the rational — not as servitude, but as the force that brings it back into wholeness. Integration. Again, this theme. Always this theme.

What This Full Moon Is Illuminating and Releasing

Full moons illuminate what needs to be seen. Then they release. Here is what I’d invite you to sit with around this Capricorn Full Moon:

To illuminate:

• Where in your life have you been building from the old paradigm — hierarchy, perfectionism, the belief that there’s only one right way?

• Where are you holding responsibility that isn’t yours — and where are you avoiding the responsibility that is?

• What does it feel like to be truly secure in yourself, without external structure holding you up?

To release:

• The shadow of Capricorn: the rigidity, the relentless productivity, the mistaking of busyness for worth

• The shadow of Virgo (South Node): the self-criticism, the over-analysis, the fear of imperfection

• The illusion of separation — from each other, from the earth, from the cosmos

To open toward:

• Integration: rational and intuitive, material and spiritual, left brain and right

• Responsibility — chosen, conscious, genuinely yours

• The music of the spheres. The note that is already playing, if you tune in.

The Cards

Two of Seeds (Pentacles) — I Am Balanced:

“Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds. The harvest can either be flowers or weeds.”

This card highlights a time of tension in maintaining a balanced life. Are you juggling a variety of issues, relationships, responsibilities, problems, and changes? Are you being asked to hold too much? If so — who does it belong to?

Creating balance enables a healthier rhythm in our lives and our relationships. And the perennial reminder: we need to take care of ourselves first, or everything else tumbles down around us. Capricorn wants to build things that last. You cannot build from empty.

Hive Queen (Witch Oracle):

She showed up in last week’s forecast too, and she is back, which means the message is not finished.

“Bees are nature’s alchemists, making honey from pollen, turning base flower materials into liquid gold. Long associated with the goddess, the bees invite you to work your own alchemy — to take the sorrows and disappointments of your life and turn them into grace, experience, and wisdom.

A witch knows that in order for this alchemy to take place, she needs to invoke forgiveness. First for herself. She understands there will be times she could not possibly have known or done better, and must forgive her ignorance. When she knows better but doesn’t do better, she forgives herself, so she can enter the galvanising force of transformation and self-cultivation.

She forgives others as well, understanding that holding on to injustice, no matter how righteous, is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die. She knows in her very veins that sometimes she must forgive when it’s not sought out — when the other is not sorry, and in their ignorance or intolerance is blind to her pain.

When forgiveness is requested by another, she honours herself by acknowledging that accountability and forgiveness are sisters, only thriving when paired. Every relationship that suffers an infraction needs accountability in order to move forward. If there is no accountability, there can be forgiveness — but no ongoing relationship. These are her boundaries, both tender and fierce, engaged to keep the hive of her heart whole: a welcoming place for the bees to sing their songs, making melody and honey where once there was only sorrow.”

I called this full moon galvanising. The Hive Queen is the galvanising force — the one that turns sorrow into something golden through the alchemy of accountability and forgiveness. Not one without the other. Both.

The bees, incidentally, were central to the Eleusinian Mysteries — the rituals of Demeter and Persephone, death and return, descent and emergence. The Red Seeds Tarot is rooted in those mysteries, and the air cards (swords, here called Seeds) carry that bee energy. This is not just a nice card about forgiveness. It’s a card about the deep mystery of transformation. What dies becomes soil. What stings becomes honey.

Summing Up

An out-of-bounds Capricorn Full Moon at the number of infinity and balance. Square to the midpoint of Saturn-Neptune, activating that new-beginning conjunction. A mutable T-square with Mars driving change toward Sedna and the South Node approaching Regulus for the first time in our lifetimes. An angel with a harp. Soil made from what has died. The feminine washing the feet of the rational mind and bringing it back into wholeness.

And two cards that say the same thing: balance yourself first, then do the alchemy. Forgiveness and accountability, together. Not one without the other.

This full moon is not asking you to have it all figured out. It is asking you to take responsibility for your part — the actual part, not the part that belongs to everyone else. And to tune in. To the note that’s already playing. To the music that has always been there.

The soil is rich. The hive of your heart is whole.

The Cards — A First Glance

From the Red Seeds Tarot by Linda Hill (find her on Etsy in the UK — link below) and the Witch Oracle: Woman in Total Control of Herself by Angie Sullins:

The Hermit reversed. Four of Torches reversed. Seeker of Bees. Priestess of Priorities.

Two reversals, one enlivened air card, and a witch telling you to stop letting the urgent crowd out the essential. This set of cards is reading the week very accurately. More at the end.

The Astrology at a Glance

This week has four major shifts — and I mean major:

Mars leaves Taurus and enters Gemini on Sunday. After months of determined, deliberate, earth-energy action, Mars moves into air and things speed up. Fast. Fire and air is combustible.

Mercury stations retrograde on Monday June 29th at 26°15’ Cancer. Retrograde until July 23rd, midpoint July 12th at 20° Cancer. I’ll say more about this below, but: please don’t fear it. If you fear it, it’s usually worse. If you work with it, you do the R-words — revisit, review, reflect, rethink — and you come out the other side with more clarity than you went in with.

The Capricorn Full Moon is also on June 29th, right after Mercury stations. I’m doing a full separate video on this one — go watch that for the deep dive — but it’s the Cancer/Capricorn axis of birth and old age, naivety and wisdom, home and structure. Big.

Jupiter enters Leo on June 30th. After a long journey through Cancer, the great expander moves into the sign of joy, creative self-expression, and — traditionally — kings. More on why that last one matters in a moment.

And Mars conjuncts Uranus on July 4th — the US birthday. I talked about this in depth with Cathy Swayn last Friday; watch that video for the detail. But: fast, radical, unexpected. The energy is moving.

The July basket — Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter all approaching 4° of their respective signs — is building toward its peak around July 20th. This week is the run-up. We start to feel the acceleration.

Day by Day

Sunday, June 28 — Mars Sextiles Jupiter. Fire Grand Trine. Mars Enters Gemini.

We open the week with a Fire Grand Trine carrying over from last week — Moon in Sagittarius, Venus and Circe in Leo, Saturn and Pallas Athena and Vesta in Aries — plus a kite pointing into the Gemini cluster. As I keep saying: burning off, creating from the ashes. This is also showing up literally — fires in Utah and across the West, the smoke settling in valleys before dawn. Fire is not just metaphor right now.

The Moon trines Venus (creative desire, seeing with the eye of the heart), then trines Pallas Athena (the diamond-shaped strategist, pulling pieces together), then trines Vesta (inner flame, focus, devotion). Venus and Pallas Athena trine each other simultaneously. And the Moon conjuncts Black Moon Lilith — our wild, elemental, untethered self seeking truth and vision alongside the Sagittarius Moon’s forward fire. That’s an enormous amount of feminine energy in one morning.

The big aspect of the day is Mars at the anaretic 29° of Taurus making a sextile to Jupiter at the anaretic 29° of Cancer — both at threshold, both about to change signs, both in earth and water. This is an opportunity aspect — and it carries everything that has been building from the earth-and-water period we’ve been in. I keep seeing it in the world: an increased rise in what I’d call feminine consciousness, or matrifocal awareness — the gift economy, reciprocity, the sense of interconnectedness. Not just political democratic socialism in the narrowest sense, but that energy of: what if we actually took care of each other? Mars drives the action; Jupiter expands everything. This aspect pushes us to carry that energy into what comes next.

The Moon squares Nessus — more pulling out of the toxins, more truth of the poisons, more invitation to be better ancestors. Then trines Eris — the table-flipper. There’s a race in Texas with a candidate called James Tallarico speaking a populist message of reciprocity and love. He can speak to the language of the Christian tradition while also saying: what did Christ do but flip tables? That’s very Eris-trine-Moon energy right there.

The Moon sextiles Chariklo — the grace spinner, helping us weave this new story for the future.

And then, at 3:29pm Eastern, Mars enters Gemini.

If you thought things were moving fast — wait. Fire and air is like a wildfire. It moves differently to earth and water. Mars in Gemini is quick, multi-directional, communicative, idea-driven. And it immediately feels the pull of Uranus nearby. Things are going to kick up a gear. We are the ones we are waiting for, to quote the Hopi prophecy. Be ready to move.

Monday, June 29 — Moon into Capricorn. Mercury Stations Retrograde. Full Moon in Capricorn.

At 3:18am Eastern, the Moon enters Capricorn — determined, structural, asking what are we actually building? From the visionary fire of Sagittarius into the disciplined earth of Capricorn. Create your own containers and rules where possible, rather than just following society’s.

The Moon trines Chiron in Taurus — the first Capricorn-Taurus earth trine since Chiron entered Taurus. I said last week that Chiron in Taurus will excavate the wounds around hoarding, materialism, body image, external beauty standards, our severed relationship with our senses and the earth. This trine is a first glimpse of that medicine — the wound beginning to show us what it knows.

The Moon aspects the Nodes, which are nearly done with their journey in Virgo and Pisces — more change incoming. The Moon sextiles Haumea — regeneration, the Hawaiian goddess of endless rebirth, in her element here.

And then: at 1:35pm Eastern, Mercury stations retrograde at 26°15’ Cancer.

Mercury will be retrograde until July 23rd, moving back about ten degrees to 16° Cancer. The midpoint — Mercury cazimi, the heart of the retrograde — will be July 12th at 20° Cancer.

Please don’t fear this. If you fear it, it’s usually worse. What Mercury retrograde in Cancer is asking us to revisit is our basis of security, our family, our sense of home and safety — individually and collectively. For the US, which is a Cancer country with significant planetary placements in Cancer, this is particularly potent. Heading into the July 4th birthday under a Mercury retrograde that asks what makes us feel safe, and how do we create that from the inside out? — that feels meaningful.

The R-words apply: revisit, review, reflect, rethink, reconnect. This is not a time to launch new things. It’s a time to go deeper with what already exists.

Right after Mercury stations, the Capricorn Full Moon is exact — the Moon’s sign and the Sun’s sign (Cancer), in opposition. The full moon shines its light; it reveals, and then it releases. Full moon in Capricorn on the Cancer/Capricorn axis of birth to old age, naivety to wisdom. I’m doing a full separate video — watch that for everything. But know that this Full Moon combined with Mercury stationing retrograde in the Moon’s own sign is a significant moment. Something is shifting. Again.

Tuesday, June 30 — Jupiter into Leo. Mars Squares the Nodes. The Last Day of June.

The last day of June — and what a way to close it.

Mars in Gemini squares the Nodes. Mars is heading toward the South Node drain, which is heading toward its conjunction with fixed star Regulus. Now, a fixed star stays in a sign for about 2,160 years — Regulus was in Leo for 2,160 years before shifting into Virgo in 2011. And in the three astrological ages before this one — roughly 6,500 years ago — this was when writing was codified, astrology was codified, monotheistic religions began to dominate, and the goddess was written out of our institutions. Mars is now heading down that same drain, to that same fixed star, at the same degree — saying: let’s change it again. Whether we help it along or not, the wheel is turning. I think we can help it along. I think we are.

Jupiter enters Leo at 0°. A world point. Jupiter has spent a long time in Cancer — an extended journey due to the retrograde — and now he moves into the sign that has traditionally been associated with kings, rulers, and the power-over paradigm. And here’s what I find significant: Venus is already in Leo, leading the way toward the South Node drain — releasing what no longer serves. Jupiter is following her. These two, the so-called benefics of traditional astrology, are both heading down that drain together. The time of the kings, the time of power-over and domination and control — it is beginning to end. Jupiter in Leo at its highest is about joy, creative self-expression, creating from the heart. Rule from love instead of power. Joy is an act of revolution. Step into that.

The Capricorn Moon conjuncts Pholus — more lids coming off, more seeing of what’s been out of integrity. But also inwardly: where have you been out of integrity with yourself? When you know better, you do better. This is not about self-judgment. The Moon squares Saturn, Pallas Athena, and Vesta in cardinal signs — initiating change, strategy and justice and inner flame pressing forward. And Eris trines Black Moon Lilith — the table-flipper and the wild elemental self, in flowing fire conversation. More of this, please.

Wednesday, July 1 — Moon Sextiles Nessus. Mars Meets Sedna. Moon into Aquarius.

Happy July. We start it with the Capricorn Moon sextiling Nessus — as we head toward the US birthday as a Cancer country, more people seeing the truth of what’s going on with the power structures, the oligarchies, the extinction burst of the old paradigm. Not just out there: in our own upbringing, our own families, our own actions. We were brought up under that paradigm. We’ve had a lot to unpack. We’re still unpacking. The moon is moving toward it so we can release it.

The Moon opposes Hygeia in Cancer — preventive, holistic health approaching Mercury retrograde. Healing from the inside out. The crab, shell on its back: the only true change is going to come from in there. Then the Moon squares Eris and opposes Mercury — our first real good look at the themes we’ll be revisiting, rethinking, and reflecting on throughout this retrograde.

Mars meets Sedna — in Gemini now, moving fast. Sedna’s story is one of profound transformation through terrible loss, of adapting and creating something new from what could have been only tragedy. I see Sedna as the energy of adaptability at the most fundamental level — adapt or create something entirely different from the circumstances you’ve been handed. Mars action meeting Sedna’s spiritual destiny. Change is coming fast. Fast.

At 3:32pm Eastern, the Moon enters Aquarius — the sign of the future, the collective, the innovation, the people — and immediately opposes Jupiter in Leo. This is the first glimpse of the July basket forming: the Moon in Aquarius activating the Aquarius-Leo axis, with Pluto already at 4° Aquarius. The Moon squares Chiron (what do we change around our core values and material world?), conjuncts Pluto (the shadow, the buried treasure), trines Sedna, trines Mars, trines Uranus — radical change, adaptability, the revolution building.

I watched a show recently — not going to say which one — about innovations in farming in the Netherlands. Cows being raised partly on water, recycling their own waste to filter seawater into drinking water. And I thought: this is why we’re going to be okay. These things are happening despite the extinction burst. We start to really feel the big shift this month, and it’s going to keep going.

Jupiter squares something in its new Leo home — I’d call it: ruling from the heart, seeing with the eye of the heart, transitioning from power-over to something genuinely different. More and more.

Thursday, July 2 — Moon Conjuncts Pluto. Sacred Contracts. The Mini Grand Trine.

The Aquarius Moon sextiles Neptune — the spiritual warrior in Aries, spirit being brought back into consciousness, the intuitive feminine moving through the collective — and then conjuncts Pluto at 4°. The basket activates again. Emotions and the collective, in mundane astrology, starting to gather: finding our people. Joining together. Rewriting the story we tell about ourselves. This is happening in every walk of life. Including astrology.

The Moon conjuncts Juno — our sacred contracts with each other being activated at 4° Aquarius. What kind of collective contract are we writing now?

Hygeia catches up to Mercury retrograde and squares Eris — holistic healing, the table-shaker, the first full square between them. Creating healing beyond the norm. Hygeia will move past Mercury, all the planets eventually making their way down toward that South Node drain.

The Moon trines Asteroid Lilith at 14°05’ and trines Ceres at 14°14’ — the number of change both times, the divine feminine figures receiving a flowing aspect from the Aquarius Moon. And the Moon squares Saturn at 14° — a mini grand trine of the Moon, the divine feminine energies, and the builder of new structures. We are building the new. From the ruins of the old. It’s a process. You’re probably feeling it in your own life.

Friday, July 3 — Sun Opposes Pholus. Moon Opposes Venus. Seeker Energy.

The Aquarius Moon sextiles Pallas Athena and Vesta, who are still traveling close together — focus and commitment and creative strategy devoting themselves to this new paradigm, this new world, being part of the change rather than just being tossed around by it.

The Sun opposes Pholus — the day before the US birthday. The lid coming off, out of integrity things being seen, the spiritual crisis of institutions reaching a concentrated point. I’ll leave it there.

The Moon opposes Venus in Leo — the Moon in the collective future sign, Venus in the joy and heart and self-expression sign. I’m not doing anything unless it brings me joy. That can be a little self-oriented, but Leo is also the heart, and Venus in Leo is learning to see through the eye of the heart as she leads the way to that South Node drain. The Moon then sextiles Eris and conjuncts Chariklo — flip some tables, then start weaving the new story.

Saturday, July 4 — US Birthday. Ceres Meets Asteroid Lilith. Mars Conjuncts Uranus. Moon Into Pisces. Hecate at the Crossroads.

Happy birthday America — though your actual solar return is on the 5th. 🎆

Ceres and Asteroid Lilith meet at 14°43’ Gemini. One plus four is five — the number of change. Gemini is change. Mercury, retrograde in Cancer, is the guide for Gemini and also for that South Node they’re heading toward. These two meeting — the Great Mother and the talk-to-the-hand original feminine — on the 4th of July, in the sign of communication and the rewriting of stories, is not a coincidence. This is the mother energy learning to step into collective nurturing. This is the feminine that refused to submit saying: we’ve had enough, it’s coming. The reciprocal paradigm is coming. The change is coming. Choose to step into it.

Mars conjuncts Uranus in Gemini — fast, radical, unexpected. Cathy and I went deep on this last Friday; do go and watch that video. Mars-Uranus can bring genuine eruptions and accidents and shocking events — and with Mars now in Gemini rather than Taurus, the combustibility is higher. But at the deeper level, this is about radically shifting perspectives, cascading and cascading until something genuinely new is visible. People shifting, then shifting again. That’s just the time we’re in.

The Moon moves into Pisces for just over two days and sextiles Chiron before conjuncting the North Node — the final conjunction of the Moon with this North Node before the Nodes shift out of Virgo and Pisces entirely. The very last pull toward that interconnectedness, that inner knowing, that trust — and then the Nodes move on into Leo and Aquarius, bringing us a whole new invitation. The Moon then squares Sedna and Uranus and Mars — the radical change makers, the adapt-or-transform energy, all firing on the day of the birthday.

And then, at 12:37pm Eastern, the Moon conjuncts Hecate in Pisces. The triple moon goddess — my asteroid — with her torch, at the crossroads, as the radical change bringers fire and the North Node prepares to move on. If you feel a bit lost in all this Pisces watery interconnectedness, here’s my torch. I’m showing you the path. We’re at the crossroads. Come through.

To close the week: Mars sextiles Neptune at 4° — the spiritual warrior at the basket degree, spirit being brought into matter, action meeting the mystic, the fast-moving new paradigm meeting the dissolution of what was. Uranus is almost at 4° too. The basket is almost at its full formation.

What a time we live in.

The Cards in Detail

The Hermit, reversed: We’ve had this one several times lately, and I’m leaving them reversed because I feel it’s a message. The Hermit upright is a call to go within and process — and yes, do that. Your walks, your meditation, your inner work. But reversed, this week, with energy shifting into more fire and air, it’s a caution: you can get stuck in the processing. You can do too much of it and not actually enact the change. Balance is the word. Go within — and then come back out and do something.

Four of Torches, reversed: Fours are stability — and the whole July basket is at 4 degrees, which feels telling. Reversed, this card points to a feeling of instability, lack of support, perhaps some conflict with others. Possibly feeling untethered. As we head into this extraordinary threshold of sign changes and radical shifts, it would be surprising if you didn’t feel a little untethered. The invitation is grounding — literally. Feet on the earth. Stay connected to what you’re part of.

Seeker of Bees — I Am Enlivened: Kim Hubbard: “A bee is never as busy as it seems, it’s just that it can’t buzz any slower.” I said things would move fast this week, and the Seeker of Bees is the enlivened air energy of it — ideas, aha moments, things moving almost faster than you can track. This can feel flighty, but it’s also infectious: a pleasure with a presence that will leave you feeling more alive. Seek this energy out, or find it within yourself. So many choices in this new world we’re creating. You don’t have to pick just one — though maybe one at a time.

Priestess of Priorities (Witch Oracle by Angie Sullins): This one lands exactly right for this week.

“You’re being asked to see with new eyes. As you view your life situation right now, the temptation will be to address all the needs and concerns that feel urgent. We often make the mistake of trying to solve or resolve before we consider what this moment is asking us to become — and how to bring more of our own essence into the equation.

Your passions are not something to view at the end of the day as you fall asleep with no time to tend them, or once a year on vacation. Your passions are an extension of your soul’s purpose, and paying attention to them is how you create a life that feels like your own, rather than someone else’s vision of how you should be living.

A witch understands that she can’t let what’s urgent get in the way of what’s important.

Every day, the world and your own circumstances will tug at your sleeve, demanding your attention and energy, insisting: this is important, this is urgent. And they will pull you away from what feels more essential to your own nature. Your job is to use your inner sight to detect essence. Notice what brings you alive. Make a list of the things that inspire you. And then prioritize them in your day, your week. Create a boundary around them, protect them like you would a newborn or an injured animal. In order for a witch to thrive, she needs to spend time with what’s essential — and no one and nothing can dictate what that is except for her own soul.”

In a week of Mars into Gemini, Mercury retrograde, Jupiter into Leo, Mars-Uranus conjunct, and the July basket building — the Priestess of Priorities is saying: don’t let the volume of it all pull you away from what actually matters to you. What is this moment asking you to become?

Summing Up

Four sign changes in a week. Mercury retrograde in the Moon’s sign heading into America’s birthday. The Capricorn Full Moon. Ceres and Asteroid Lilith meeting on the 4th of July. Mars conjunct Uranus on the same day. Hecate at the crossroads, torch raised, as the North Node prepares to leave Pisces.

Gramsci said: the old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born. Now is the time of monsters. We are in the monsters phase. But the new world is struggling to be born — not metaphorically, in the actual charts, at the actual degrees, with Haumea as the handle of the basket and Hecate showing the way.

The Hermit reversed says: process — but don’t just process. The Four of Torches reversed says: ground yourself so you don’t lose the thread. The Seeker of Bees says: let yourself be enlivened by all of this. And the Priestess of Priorities says: don’t let the urgent crowd out the essential. Not now. Not this week.

We are the ones we are waiting for. Step into it.

The Solstice Chart — A Quick Glimpse

Because the solstice chart sets the tone for the next three months, I want to briefly flag what I see in it — particularly for those in or watching the US.

The chart has Gemini rising — change, communication, perspective-shifting, the rewriting of stories. Ceres is almost exactly on the Ascendant, just 21 minutes away, with Asteroid Lilith right beside her. Black Moon Lilith is almost exactly on the Descendant. The Great Mother and the returning feminine are the face of this next season. That’s not metaphor — that’s the literal chart.

Nessus is at the top of the chart — in the eleventh house of groups, organizations, and politics. More toxins named. More things revealed. The lid is not going back on. And the Sun is about to move into the second house — self-worth, values, what we actually value and how we value ourselves. For a country founded as a Cancer, this is a significant solar season.

More people are waking up and saying: this is not meeting our needs. This is not nurturing our communities. We have to do something differently. The solstice chart says: yes. We are.

The Cards — A First Glance

Abundant fertile times — but with a depleted well and a caution about stagnation. And then the Hive Queen, who is the alchemist, arriving at the end with the most important thing she carries: what she knows about forgiveness. More at the end.

The Astrology at a Glance

The week opens with a double solstice event — the Sun enters Cancer AND the Moon enters Libra on the same day, both at 0° of cardinal signs, both at world points. And then the First Quarter Moon at 0° Libra/Cancer at 5:55pm Eastern — three fives. Change is coming. New things are starting.

Nessus stations retrograde this week at 23° Pisces and will be retrograde until December 4th — six months of the toxin-revealer slowly moving back over ground it’s already crossed. We will see more.

Mercury is slowing down, heading toward its retrograde on June 29th. You may already feel the pull of it — the slight thickening, the returning to things, the wait, what was that again?

Venus in Leo is now traveling with asteroid Circe — the witch, the alchemist — and is heading toward the South Node drain. She is leading the way, releasing what no longer serves the highest feminine within us all.

The July basket is building — Pluto moves to 4° Aquarius, Neptune is at 4° Aries, Uranus is approaching 4° Gemini. Jupiter moving into Leo will become the lid. We are watching it form in real time.

Day by Day

Sunday, June 21 — Solstice. First Quarter Moon at 0° Libra. 555.

What a day to open a week.

The Virgo Moon starts us off with a sextile to Hygeia (preventive, holistic health — collective and personal) and an opposition to Nessus at 23°, which is stationing to go retrograde. The toxins, the ancestral patterns, the abuses of power — all of it being faced clearly, with Virgo’s humble, grounded discernment. More humility, more back-to-earth, more using our hands, more craftsmanship, more service — but not servitude.

The Moon trines Mars in Taurus (take action toward the healing) and sextiles Jupiter (expand that action, do the right thing), then moves into Libra — seeking balance, justice, and the harmony that comes from genuine fairness rather than performed peace.

Venus in Leo, conjunct asteroid Circe (the witch, the alchemist), sextiles Ceres in Gemini — fire and air, the shining joy-seeker and the Great Mother exchanging gifts. Change our perspectives. We can create something different. And we’re starting to see it.

And then: the Sun enters Cancer at 0°. The solstice. The world point. The beginning of a new season and the setting of the tone for the next three months. Summer in the north, winter in the south, and the invitation — Cancer always brings this — to come home to yourself. What do you want to protect? What do you want to nurture? What does healing look like from inside the shell?

The First Quarter Moon is exact at 5:55pm Eastern — 0° Libra and Cancer. Three fives. Change is coming. New things are starting. And this is not any ordinary First Quarter Moon: it forms a T-square with 0° Aries, where Saturn, Neptune, and the Moon all met earlier this year. Things that began in February — the seeds of the new era planted at that Saturn-Neptune conjunction — are now being pressed toward action. It’s really time to start. And I really think we’re starting to see it.

The Sabian symbol (1° Libra): a butterfly made perfect by a dart through it. James Burgess says: becoming the embodiment of an archetype. Through the journey, we eventually become aware of ourselves as part of the group consciousness of our kind — no longer a tiny speck of humanity, but identifying with humanity as a whole. The butterfly is pinned and preserved — it is the representative archetype of all butterflies that have been transformed and learned how to fly.

The Omega symbol (Sandbach): an apothecary shop in which herbal concoctions and other medicines appear as needed. Desire and need combined with pure intent can create their own fulfillment spontaneously. The secret here is that the point of power is in the present, which is beyond the fear, whose roots are always in the past, and hope, which focuses on the future. You have the power of spontaneous manifestation of the exact energy that the present calls for. Remember that 0° is the alpha-omega degree — infinite possibilities.

The Chandra symbol: a group of fat Italian ladies preparing bread. This degree has an ability to find the easiest, most direct ways of relating to others, and wants everyone to feel nourished, included, and to have a good time. It functions as a kind of lubricant that makes everything run more smoothly — through an ease of connecting that is inviting. Simple and elusive beauty, like the medicines of the Omega symbol, that can mutate into what will best serve the purpose of enhancing interaction.

The degree angel for the Omega symbol — The Big Picture. Breaking the Circle. These cardinal world points are part of the sacred hoop, the four directions. We are breaking the circle we have been stuck on. Getting off the hamster wheel. Creating something different.

After the First Quarter Moon, the Moon trines Sedna and Uranus — still very close together — in an air trine. Radical change, adaptability, aha moments, innovative new ideas. What a first day.

Monday, June 22 — Nessus Stations Retrograde. Air Grand Trine. The Feminine Archetypes Speak.

The Libra Moon opens the day opposing Neptune at 4° — Neptune already holds the degree where the July basket will be most exact. Then the Moon trines Pluto and trines Uranus, forming an air grand trine: radical transformation of perception, shadows coming to light, new ideas cascading through. This will build every day now as the planets gather at 4°.

Nessus stations retrograde at 23° Pisces. He’ll move slowly back to 20°05’ and stay retrograde until December 4th — almost six months. The time around these stations is when the energy concentrates most intensely, and Nessus has always been about the toxins, the inherited poisons, the abuses of power being named so we can be better ancestors. Expect more revelations. More things that cannot be unseen. This is not bad news — it’s the necessary seeing.

The Libra Moon then trines Asteroid Lilith (nobody’s putting baby in the corner), trines Ceres (the Great Mother who has been dismissed and diminished for so long), and trines Juno — a second air grand trine of sacred contracts, of the yin-yang agreement we have with each other, of the collective covenant being rewritten. These feminine archetypes have been sidelined for too long. They are archetypes within all of us. And they are speaking.

The Moon sextiles Venus in Leo and sextiles Circe the witch — fire and air, create from the heart, we are done with the power-over paradigm.

The Moon then opposes Saturn at 13° Aries — the goddess number, the witch number. Time to build something different that fits the me within the we, as Aries and Libra always ask. Then opposes Vesta (what are you devoted to?) and opposes Pallas Athena (where is the strategy, the creative intelligence, the pattern-seeing that pulls all of this together?). The Libra Moon is soaking all of this up, trying to find the balance point.

Tuesday, June 23 — Sun Trines the North Node. Sun Trines Haumea. Mars Squares Chariklo.

The Sun in Cancer makes its first significant aspects of the new season: a trine to the North Node in Pisces — the stronger aspect, the direction we’re heading. Interconnectedness. The felt sense of being part of something larger. Not abstract — bodily. Cancer the crab, shell on its back, pincers drawn in: fully whole within itself. This is why self-care comes first. You cannot pour from an empty shell.

The Sun trines Haumea in a water trine that involves the North Node — pure regeneration meeting the direction we’re heading. Think about creation myths: they almost all emerge from chaos, from the void, from water. Water is life. To quote the indigenous people who have always known this. And Haumea is there in the middle of all of it, helping us regenerate.

Mars in Taurus makes an opening square to Chariklo — in fixed signs, determined, material: what are we weaving to make manifest and real? The grace spinner, still retrograde in Aquarius, is being pushed by the guardian of the grain to bring the new story into substance.

The Libra Moon squares the Cancer cluster — Hygeia, Mercury, Jupiter — the balance-seeking Moon pressed by cardinal signs. Integrating the rational and the irrational. Pulling right brain and left brain into balance for this new start.

Wednesday, June 24 — Moon into Scorpio. Deep Waters. The Kite.

The Libra Moon finishes her pass with a square to Jupiter — Cardinal axis, new starts, justice, the natural law pressing against the scales — before moving into Scorpio.

In Scorpio, the Moon opposes Chiron in Taurus — the wound and the medicine facing each other across the Taurus-Scorpio axis. What does it take to co-create this rebirth? To let go of the power-over paradigm and move into something rooted in reciprocity? The Scorpio Moon knows: you have to go into the dark first. And the medicine is there.

The Moon conjuncts Haumea — pure regeneration — and then the Moon and Sun form an opening water trine, which creates a kite to Chiron. What are we sculpting from this water? What is the intuitive knowing that we’re tuning into, to know where we want to go? Water erodes and finds its path. Water seeps into everything. Water is the creative energy — scrying, visioning, the selkies and water nymphs and everything that knew this long before we forgot.

The Moon trines Hecate in Pisces — the way shower, the torchbearer, illuminating the path forward — and then squares Pluto: transformation from the inside out, collectively in Aquarius, digging up the shadow so we can find the buried treasure.

The Moon opposes Okyrhoe at 6° — the Great Mother number, the seer, the divine child. In the myths she was punished for prophesying, but we know who wrote those myths. The seers, the witches, the medicine women — they have always known. And Asteroid Lilith at 9° trines Juno: let’s write a new story of what we owe each other. The divine feminine is rising, in the sign of Cancer, in the sign of birth, in the sign of what we are creating in the cradle.

Thursday, June 25 — Sun Squares Neptune. The Basket Tightens.

A quieter day in terms of number of aspects — but not in weight.

The Scorpio Moon sextiles Pholus (more lids coming off) and squares Venus at 13° — the goddess number again. Venus is getting closer and closer to the South Node drain, leading the way, releasing everything that has not served the highest good of the feminine — within all of us, and in the cosmos, and in nature.

Venus trines Jupiter simultaneously — burn those things down and create something new from the other side of it.

And then: the Sun in Cancer reaches 4° and squares Neptune at 4° Aries. The basket I keep talking about — Pluto is already at 4°, Neptune is at 4°, Uranus is approaching 4° — is now being activated by the Sun’s square. An opening square: creating this new interconnected beginning from what we are releasing and letting go of. The Cancer Sun in the USA’s birthday season, squaring the spiritual warrior Neptune in the sign of new starts, saying: from this place of birthing, what are we creating?

The basket is real. It’s forming. Jupiter will move into Leo and become the lid. We are watching something extraordinary assemble itself.

Friday, June 26 — Venus Day. Vesta Meets Pallas Athena. Moon into Sagittarius. Mercury Squares Eris.

The Scorpio Moon finishes its passage with a water grand trine — trining Nessus (still stationed at 23°), Hygeia, and Mercury in Cancer: more watery truth, more holistic thinking, more integrating feeling with knowing. Then the Moon squares Chariklo — the grace spinner pressing back: what story are we weaving from all of this?

The Sun trines Hecate — the Cancer Sun, in the sign of the mother, reaching across to the torchbearer in Pisces. The water energy is the way forward. Going with the flow, creating something new from chaos, from the void, from the deep. Time and time again this week, the same message.

The Moon opposes Mars in Taurus — [likely the final such opposition of Mars’s journey through the sign]. Making things stick. Making things manifest through the action we’re taking.

Mercury is slowing toward its retrograde and makes a square to Eris — the table-turner. Mercury in Cancer, supremely sensitive, feeling people’s words, speaking from intuition and emotion — is going to revisit some things that have been coming to light. More table-turning. More things we will need to look at again.

Vesta catches up to Pallas Athena at 16° Aries. Pallas Athena: the strategist who pulls apparently random pieces together into a pattern — I see her as diamond consciousness, pulling from everywhere to create the plan. And Vesta: the inner flame that focuses and commits to it. These two together say: I know what I’m devoted to. I know the strategy. Now I move.

The Moon enters Sagittarius at 2:40pm Eastern — truth, exploration, ethics, forward-thinking, the search for meaning. And almost immediately squares the Nodes (another turning point), then opposes Sedna and Uranus (adapt, awaken, adapt), and trines Neptune at 4° — activating the basket yet again as we head into the full moon. Justice is coming. We are finding out the truth. We are at another turning point.

Ceres and Circe point a finger of destiny at Pholus — do your thing, Pholus. Take the lid off more things. The Great Mother and the witch, pointing together. The Pandora’s box that cannot be resealed.

Saturday, June 27 — Fire Grand Trine Kite. Determination. The Week Closes.

The Sagittarius Moon opens with a square to Hecate (which way is the torch pointing? where are we going?), a sextile to Pluto (the shadow excavated, the gold found), and then runs the gamut: sextiling Juno (sacred contracts with the future), opposing Asteroid Lilith and Ceres together at 11° — you are not meeting our needs. We are coming into community and changing this. There is a gateway here, if we choose.

And we close the week with the Moon trining Saturn at 14° Aries — the number of change. A real boost of determination. We are going to build this.

And the final image of the week — a fire grand trine kite: the Moon in Sagittarius, Venus and Circe in Leo, Saturn and Pallas Athena and Vesta in Aries — all in fire, all in the same direction, all pointing at Ceres and Asteroid Lilith in Gemini as the anchor point. Burn off what no longer serves. Change your perceptions. Speak your truth. Start something new. All of it, in one closing configuration.

The Moon speaks to Black Moon Lilith: we’ve had enough, stop shaming us, we’re done.

The Cards in Detail

The Great Mother — Demeter: Thomas Moore, from Care of the Soul: “Good Demeter mothering keeps a child in the heat and passion of life which immortalises and establishes fulfillment. Mothering involves not only physical survival and achievement — she is concerned with guiding a child to their unknown depths and the mystery of fate.”

The soul journey of this card: these are abundant, fertile times. And this: this mother archetype suffers when we stride out into the world without her. Our positive energy is rooted in nature, fertility, love, and containment. She keeps us earthed with kindness and love as we learn to nurture our soul.

Ceres is almost exactly on the Ascendant of the solstice chart. She is the face of this next season. Let her in.

Seer of Vessels, reversed: The Seer of Vessels knows the depths — she dives in and comes back with understanding. Reversed this week, the caution is real: some moodiness, inner turmoil, disappointment, a lack of creativity. Your well may feel a little dry right now. There is a lot going on, and this week is a lot energetically. It’s feelings. It will pass. You don’t have to perform having it all sorted. Give yourself the mercy of not pretending.

The Fall, reversed (Persephone / The Hanged Goddess): Reversed, this can point to stagnation, disconnection from source, or a slide into victimhood — which are all, honestly, the shadow of too much watery energy at once. But I also read this card reversed, in this week, as something else: the fall of the patriarchy. And us falling back to earth to remember that we are all interconnected. You can tune into whichever reading fits your moment.

The Hive Queen (Witch Oracle): “Bees are nature’s alchemists, making honey from pollen, turning base flower materials into liquid gold. Long associated with the goddess, the bees invite you to work your own alchemy. To take the sorrows and disappointments of your life and turn them into grace, experience, and wisdom.

A witch knows that in order for this alchemy to take place, she needs to invoke forgiveness. First for herself. She understands there will be times she could not possibly have known or done better, and must forgive her own ignorance. When she knows better but doesn’t do better, she forgives herself, so she can enter the galvanising force of transformation and self-cultivation, rather than sink into the patriarchal gravity of self-condemnation.

She forgives others as well, understanding that holding onto injustice, no matter how righteous, is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to die.

When forgiveness is requested by another, she honors herself by acknowledging that accountability and forgiveness are sisters. Only thriving when paired. Every relationship that suffers an infraction needs accountability in order to move forward. If there is no accountability, then there can be forgiveness — but no ongoing relationship. These are her boundaries, both tender and fierce, engaged to keep the hive of her heart whole. A welcoming place for the bees to sing their songs, making melody and honey where there was once only sorrow.”

Accountability and forgiveness are sisters. Sit with that. Especially this week.

Summing Up

The solstice and a 555 First Quarter Moon on the same day. Nessus stationing to reveal six more months of toxins. The July basket tightening toward 4°. A fire grand trine kite closing the week. And the Hive Queen standing at the end of it all, asking: what are you turning into honey?

The Great Mother is the face of this season. The Seer of Vessels reversed says your well may feel dry — that’s allowed. The Fall reversed says the fall is not just yours to bear. And the Hive Queen says: forgive yourself first. Then forgive where you must — but never without accountability.

Be the alchemist. Be the bees. The base material of this moment is already transforming, whether it looks like it from here or not.

Water is life. The basket is building. And we are heading toward the full moon.

The New Moon

The Gemini New Moon is exact on June 14th at 10:54pm Eastern — which means for many of you around the world, it arrives on June 15th. It’s at 24° Gemini, and it is out of bounds. Big energy, beyond the established norm, doing things differently — very on brand for where we’ve been lately.

Mercury, which guides Gemini, goes back in bounds right before this new moon — as if it’s saying: all right, the wild period is integrating. Now let’s begin something new from a clearer place.

The Numbers

I always love to look at the degree number, and 24° is a beautiful one for this particular new moon.

Twenty-four combines the intuitive, empathic energy of two — which I associate with the divine feminine, the receptive, the relational — with the stability and structure of four. Together they sum to six, which is the number of the Great Mother, of Venus, of Ceres — love, prosperity, domestic peace, co-creation. It’s a number oriented toward harmony, family, connection, idealism, companionship, and long-term security. And crucially: 24 is not leadership energy. It’s collaboration. It’s reciprocal. Which is, as I keep saying, exactly where I think we’re heading as a collective. The numbers are confirming the story.

What Is Gemini?

Gemini is a mutable air sign guided by Mercury. Adaptable, lively, sociable, quick-witted, multifaceted, inquisitive. The sign of the twins — the sign of duality. At its best it’s mentally agile, brilliantly communicative, a weaver of connections and ideas. At its shadow: scattered, opinionated, a little two-faced, fickle. It’s the sign of perspectives — the ability to see a thing from more than one angle simultaneously, which is both its gift and its occasional chaos.

This new moon, though, despite all the Gemini sociability and talkativeness, is asking us inward. Almost all the planets are gathered at the bottom of the chart — held, contained, like being in a bowl. This is an inward new moon in an outward sign. The invitation is to do the Gemini work — the perspective-shifting, the rewriting of the story — from the inside out.

The Astrology

The new moon sextiles Eris in Aries — a supportive fire-and-air aspect. The table-turner saying: yes, we’re moving on, we’ve done with this, new starts. The new moon also makes a mutable square to Nessus in Pisces — the centaur of ancestral shadows, toxicity, and the question of what we’re passing forward. This square is asking us to face how we got here — individually and collectively — and to change our perspective so we can create the future we actually want. It’s not comfortable. It’s necessary.

The new moon trines Chariklo in Aquarius — Chiron’s consort, the spinner of grace, the cosmic doula helping us weave the story of the future. A flowing air trine from Gemini to Aquarius: the new story is being spun. What perspective are you bringing to it?

And five days before this new moon, Venus and Jupiter met at 25° Cancer — they last met at 14˚ Cancer on Aug 12 2026 conjunct Sirius, a star associated with new eras, good fortune, the beginning of something significant. Something that began then is being revisited now.

The new moon makes a semi-sextile to that 25˚ Cancer degree, linking forward into the new beginning they seeded. On the New Moon, Venus has moved on into Leo (girls just wanna have fun, but meaningfully), while Jupiter in Cancer is still expanding our sense of security, home, family, and connection. Mercury is in Cancer too — thinking through the heart, processing through feeling, nurturing the ideas that matter. Everything in this chart is oriented around the same themes the numbers gave us: harmony, family, long-term security, reciprocity, co-creation.

Mercury guides this new moon from Cancer — thinking with the heart, speaking through the eye of the heart. It’s very compassionate in this sign, very caring. It just came back in bounds, and it’s saying: all right. We’ve seen the chaos. Here’s the new moon. How can we begin to create something genuinely new from a different place?

I love the East Coast chart for this one: it has 0° Aquarius on the Ascendant — a zero point, a beginning degree, the degree where Jupiter and Saturn met at the start of the Age of Air, where Venus, Ceres, and Pluto all met at the end of 2024. We keep returning to zero Aquarius because it keeps mattering. Something new is beginning. Again. In a series of new beginnings.

The Cradles Are Coming

I keep mentioning these, and I want to give them proper space here.

In July, at 4°: Jupiter in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius, with Neptune and Uranus also at 4°, forming a cradle aspect pattern with Haumea as the handle — the goddess of regeneration. Four is the number of stability.

In June next year, at 6°: Ceres in Leo opposes Pluto, with Neptune and Uranus at 6°, Haumea again the handle. Six is the number of the Great Mother.

Two cradles. The cosmos, [quite literally], holding us. Not doing the work for us — that’s not what this energy is. But saying: you are held. The transformation is intentional. Work with it, not against it, and you will find your way to your highest potential.

The inside-out method. Change yourself first. Then the world changes with you.

Setting Intentions

This is not a new moon for the grand sweeping gesture. It’s a new moon for the internal rewrite.

The invitation is to let go of the idea that anyone or anything outside of you is going to fix this — individually or collectively. The story begins inside. Gemini gives you the perspective-shifting capacity to see it differently. Mercury in Cancer gives you the emotional intelligence to feel what’s true before you think it. The numbers give you the Great Mother’s love, the stability of collaboration, the harmony of reciprocity.

Set intentions this new moon around:

• A perspective you want to shift

• A story you want to rewrite — about yourself, your relationships, or the world you’re helping to create

• How you communicate from the heart

• The kind of community and connection you want to build

• What you want to receive, not just create — the Queen of Vessels energy

The Cards

Queen of Vessels — I Am Held:

Rhea — her name means flow — is the Queen in this deck. Rumi: “Let the waters settle and you will see the moon and the stars mirrored in your own being.”

The card says: she is a powerful, loving, dedicated priestess who holds the sensitivity, compassion, nurturance, and intuition of the divine feminine. She will protect and hold us when life is tough, and will encourage us to move forward when we are ready. She will always give good counsel. The Queen receives messages often with the use of divinatory practices — and most of all, she encourages us to listen to our own intuition and dreams, and not to be afraid to follow, trust, and use what we receive.

Divination and dreams will be powerful and informative right now. We are water. We see.

Two of Bees (Swords) — Tension of Opposites:

“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” (Proverbs)

This card suggests difficult choices may need to be made — that our ideas and opinions may be questioned by others and perhaps by ourselves. We may feel [mentally pulled in multiple directions], paralyzed between stress and uncertainty.

“Balancing the tension of the opposites will help us navigate conflict. Hold the tension of not knowing the outcome for a while. Clarity and a balanced view will make itself known. Positive choices and insightful decisions will arise from the center of your being — once you’ve taken time to contemplate and listen to yourself before you act.”

This is the Gemini paradox, isn’t it. The sign of duality asking us to hold both sides without flinching, until the center becomes clear. Very appropriate for a new moon in the sign of the twins.

Seer of Bees — Herald of Holy News:

In the Eleusinian Mysteries, the Hiercceryx was the herald of holy news — the representative of Hermes, winged-footed messenger of the gods. This seer communicated sacred information and was present at all stages of the mystery.

“When you shoot an arrow of truth, dip its point in honey.” (Arab proverb)

The Seer’s energy is swift and striking, holding a richness of knowledge with an intellect that is discriminating, creative, and intense. Communication and movement come easily. As a narrator, this seer holds the attention of all. A natural leader who is courageous and assertive — and who occasionally loses their temper when up against serious stupidity or wrongdoing.

(That last line speaks directly to Mercury in Cancer. The sensitivity is real. So is the fire.)

“Listen to what this seer has to say, for they bring messages of wisdom from high places that will teach us things we don’t know yet.”

This card, for me, is the invitation to start listening to your own messages — from that deep connection with the cosmos — and to trust them. And not to be too hard on yourself when you miss some.

The Dreamer (Witch Oracle):

“When you sleep, the soul awakens and wraps you in her star-filled arms. This is the time for you to glimpse the heavens of your own psyche and sail the Milky Way of possibility.”

“Receiving a dream is like getting a letter in the mail from your dream mother. She has witnessed your struggles and triumphs, your hopes and fears. Now your mind is quiet and your soul is alert. She writes her love letter to guide you, delivering symbols and signs to help you process your potential, untangle your doubts and fears, and align with your highest possibility.”

“A witch knows that dreams are a vital part of empowerment. Record them. Decipher, to the best of your ability, the letters from home. The meaning of symbols that repeat is not to be found in any dream dictionary — it’s in your own unique associations and definitions. Pay attention. The soul is pouring stardust and stories into your being.”

Right now, at this new moon. Keep something by the bed to record those dreams.

Summing Up

An out-of-bounds new moon in the sign of perspective and communication. Mercury back in bounds just in time, thinking through the heart. The number of the Great Mother encoded in the degree. Almost every planet gathered at the bottom of the chart, held in a bowl, saying: go inward. The story begins there.

I see all of this as a process — becoming, integrating, learning to blend the rational and the irrational, the inner knowing and the outer action. This new moon is an invitation to rewrite the story. Not the big cosmic version only — your version. The one that starts inside you and moves outward from there.

Two cradles coming. The cosmos is holding us.

Before We Dive In

We are heading toward the solstice. Can you believe it? And what a week this is — I genuinely feel like we are at the peak of the change, the peak of the shift. I know it doesn’t always look that way from inside the noise, but I keep seeing it: people changing, people saying this isn’t working, let’s do something different. The astrology is saying the same thing, loudly.

The Gemini New Moon falls on June 14th — I’ve done a full separate video and written post on that, so go there for the deep dive when they are released. This week’s forecast begins from that new moon and moves forward.

The Cards — A First Glance

From the Red Seeds Tarot and the Witch Oracle: The Sun reversed, Ace of Bees, Seven of Bees reversed, and The Dancer.

The Sun reversed is a perspective shift. The Ace is a new beginning. The Seven reversed is an invitation to look within and throw out the trash. And the Dancer — oh, the Dancer — is the whole week in a single image. More at the end.

The Astrology at a Glance

A few orientation points before we move day by day:

Mercury goes back in bounds around 6:45am Eastern on Sunday — things start to settle from weeks of out-of-bounds wildness, though the new moon itself is out of bounds, so we’re not completely back to normal yet.

Venus is in Leo — leading the pack, way ahead of everything else, seeing with the eye of the heart, finding joy, operating from that place.

Saturn and Pallas Athena are still at 13° Aries — the number of the goddess, the witch — and they meet in exact conjunction this week. Big.

Neptune is already at 4° Aries — the degree where the July cradle aspect pattern will be most exact. Uranus is catching up. The basket is forming.

The Nodes are at 2° of Virgo and Pisces, moving fast and heading out of those signs. Their journey in Pisces and Virgo is almost complete.

The two biggest events of the week: the Venus occultation on June 17th and Chiron’s ingress into Taurus on June 19th. Both are significant enough that I’ll spend real time on them.

Day by Day

Sunday, June 14 — Gemini New Moon. Mercury Back in Bounds. Speak Truth.

The week opens with Mercury returning in bounds at 6:45am Eastern — the wild, beyond-the-pale thinking period begins to integrate. Just in time, because the Gemini New Moon is exact at 10:54pm Eastern tonight (June 15th for most of you internationally). Set your intentions strong. The separate new moon post has everything you need for that.

The day opens with the Sun opposing Black Moon Lilith across Gemini and Sagittarius — truth, perspective, information, and the energy of speaking without shame. I use the true Black Moon Lilith calculation, which moves quite wildly through the zodiac — right now she’s in Sagittarius, and this opposition is a clear opening statement: speak truth to power.

The Moon in Gemini is still in the dark moon phase, moving toward the new moon tonight. She trines Juno (now retrograde, moving back toward Pluto — more on that later), sextiles Vesta (what intentions are we setting, what are we devoted to?), sextiles Saturn (what are we building?), and sextiles Pallas Athena (where do we find the strategy to write the new story?). The Moon then opposes Black Moon Lilith and squares Nessus — pulling everything in before the new beginning.

Neptune is at 4° Aries — already at the degree where the July cradle pattern will peak. Asteroid Lilith is also at 4°. Talk to the hand — we are not doing this anymore. The feminine archetype, the mother archetype, the original creative principle — she is rising, and it’s happening fast. Haumea in Scorpio will aspect the Nodes as they move away from her — one last push toward that North Node of Pisces and interconnectedness.

Mars in Taurus sextiles Hygeia — determined, grounded action in service of preventive, holistic health. Make things real. Take care of yourself and each other.

Venus in Leo sextiles Sedna — adapt or die, but in the most loving way possible. Sedna speaks to the great cycles, and we are at the end of one. Venus leading the way, in the sign of the heart, saying: this is how we do it. From here.

Monday, June 15 — Moon into Cancer. Weave the Story. Take Aligned Action.

Under the new moon energy — keep those intentions alive. Manifestation isn’t passive. You can’t just wish and wait. Aligned action with intention is the whole thing.

The Moon passes the Sun and begins gaining light — barely, but it’s beginning. She sextiles Eris (come on, shake things up), trines Chariklo in Aquarius (a lovely air trine — weave this new story, spin it forward), then squares Haumea in fixed signs (we are going to make this happen — birthing something new requires real force, and fixed signs provide it). The Moon sextiles Chiron, then moves into Cancer — her own sign — for a couple of days.

In Cancer, the Moon is in her element: emotional, empathic, creative, deeply feeling. She aspects the Nodes (don’t forget where we’re going), then forms a water grand trine with Haumea and Hecate — pure regeneration, the torchbearer, and the emotional body of the people, all in flowing water conversation. The way forward is the creative, divine feminine principle. Interconnected. Matrifocal. We are changing, and this is the direction.

The Moon then squares Neptune at 4° — activating what’s coming in July, and calling us inward to that intuition, that inner voice, that body-knowing that precedes the rational mind. Then sextiles Okyrhoe — the seer, the divine child, the prophetess. If you’re tuned in, you may start to get a glimpse of what’s coming.

Venus in Leo sextiles Uranus at 2° Gemini — two is the divine feminine number, and this is the divine feminine shaking things up, saying it’s time for rebellion. Not just about women — about money, about earthly desires and needs, about what we actually want to create and how we live. Then Asteroid Lilith trines Pluto — she was conjunct Uranus, then sextile Neptune, and now she’s trining Pluto. She is systematically activating the entire July cradle. The rebellious teenager who was put in a corner is back, and she’s saying: we’ve had it. Time to change.

Tuesday, June 16 — Saturn Conjuncts Pallas Athena at 13°. Moon Conjuncts Mercury.

The Cancer Moon opposes Pholus to open the day — taking the lid off, seeing what hasn’t been in integrity in our structures and institutions, but also in our own lives. The Moon then squares Vesta, Saturn, and Pallas Athena — cardinal signs, initiating change: what are we devoted to, what are we building, and where is the strategy?

Right after the Moon squares them, Saturn and Pallas Athena meet exactly at 13°25’ Aries. Thirteen — the number of the goddess, the witch, the spiral. Saturn and Pallas Athena: the builder and the wise strategist, the structures of the new and the creative intelligence that designs them. At the witch number. In the sign of new starts. This is not a small conjunction.

The Moon then conjuncts Mercury and Hygeia at 20° Cancer — Mercury, just back in bounds, now thinking through feeling, through the heart, through compassion. What changed in your perspective during the out-of-bounds period? What came in from outside, or from within, that shifted something? And how can we prevent what we’ve arrived at collectively from happening again? How do we create more holistic health — in all ways?

The Moon sextiles Mars (make it real), the Sun sextiles Eris (more tables to flip), the Moon squares Nessus — and by the end of the day, the Moon is genuinely starting to gain light. The new beginning is taking hold.

Venus trines Neptune in a fire trine — Venus in Leo, Neptune in Aries, fire and more fire. Love is all that matters. Seeing with the eye of the heart. I keep coming back to this phrase — it’s from Mary Magdalene’s gospel, and to my mind, Mary Magdalene is Venus. More on that as we go.

Wednesday, June 17 — The Venus Occultation. The Lid of the Basket.

I want to give this one the space it deserves, because it’s significant.

The Moon occults Venus at 4:28pm Eastern. An occultation is like an eclipse — the Moon actually passes in front of Venus and blocks it from our view here on Earth. And this one passes directly over the United States.

At the moment of the occultation, the Moon and Venus are at 5° Leo — and look at what they’re doing. They are forming the [lid of the July cradle aspect pattern]. Neptune is already at 4° Aries. Pluto is heading back to 4° Aquarius. Uranus is at 3° Gemini and heading to 4°. The basket — Jupiter opposing Pluto with Neptune and Uranus all at 4° — is already forming, and the Moon-Venus occultation is its lid. Haumea in Scorpio is the handle. The seer Okyrhoe is square to all of it.

The Moon opposes Pluto at 4:38pm Eastern — just ten minutes after the occultation. And Venus opposes Pluto in the same moment. All at once: the Moon, Venus, the occultation, the Pluto opposition. This is a long, deep look at what we truly desire to create — from the soul, from the heart, from the place that knows.

Pluto is not just darkness. Pluto digs up the shadow, yes — but then it says: here is what was underneath. Here is your inner gold. I’ve been listening to a book called Hecate’s Cave this week, and one of the faces of Hecate described there is the one who consumes what needs to go — she devours the garbage so that the gold can be found. Hecate is also at 4°, making minor aspects to this whole configuration. The torchbearer is in the basket too.

The Moon then exactly squares Okyrhoe at 6° — the seer at the great mother number, holding the vision of what’s being born.

Saturn trines Black Moon Lilith — both at 13°. The structures of the new being built in alignment with the wild, freed, unshamed feminine. The witch number, twice.

Mars sextiles Nessus — I’m ready to be a better ancestor. I’m ready to create something genuinely new from here.

And then, later in the day: the Moon sextiles Asteroid Lilith at 6° — the Great Mother number, the degree where the second cradle pattern will be next year. And the Moon sextiles Ceres — the Great Mother herself. The Moon and the Great Mother and the rebellious returning feminine, all in flowing conversation at that significant degree. The cosmos is laying its groundwork.

Thursday, June 18 — Fire Grand Trine. Venus Opposes Pluto.

The Moon in Leo opposes Juno (retrograde, moving back toward Pluto — our sacred contracts in the process of being renegotiated) and then builds into something beautiful: a fire grand trine — the Moon, Saturn-Vesta-Pallas Athena, and the Aries cluster, all in passionate, creative, determined conversation. Phoenix energy. Burn off what you no longer need. Take action. Create. If you feel called to a candle-burning ritual today, lean into it. This fire grand trine is the energy for releasing what’s done.

Venus in Leo opposes Pluto — big, fixed, intense. Venus has been leading the way toward this opposition all week. What do you desire to create from the deepest part of yourself? What needs to be transformed in how you relate to love, money, beauty, and your earthly life? The shadow is being examined so the inner gold can emerge.

Venus squares Okyrhoe at 6° — again, that degree, that number. The seer asking Venus: what is being prophesied through your desires?

The Moon reaches 23° Leo and squares Mars late in the day — in fixed signs, from the place of values and deepest desires. We are going to create new things. Not from the old way. From this.

Friday, June 19 — Venus Day. Chiron Enters Taurus. Regulus and the South Node.

This is the day of the week.

The Moon in Leo finishes her time there with a trine to Eris (shake those tables), an opposition to Chariklo (the spinner of the new story is being asked: are you ready?), and a sextile to the Sun (fire and air, passion to create from the heart, from this changed perspective). Then a trine to Chiron — time to burn off those old wounds and begin working with the medicine.

The Moon moves into Virgo and almost immediately conjuncts Regulus — the Royal Star, now in the first degrees of Virgo after its 2011 ingress from Leo. It spent an age in Leo, in the sign of kings, which is probably when it was named. Now it is in Virgo, and the Moon meeting Regulus here is meeting the energy of a different kind of leadership: the priestess, the one who comes into wholeness from the inside out, who holds sacred knowledge not to dictate but to serve. Then the Moon conjuncts the South Node — the Nodes are now at just 1°. We are leaving behind the shadow of unhealthy Virgo: the over-criticism, the hyper-service, the perfectionism. And we’re leaving behind the whole paradigm of power-over, of hierarchy-first, of the king’s court. The drain is taking what we no longer need.

The Moon squares Sedna — adapt or die, but we are at a genuine crossroads of adaptability. Then squares Uranus — breakthrough, breakdown, aha, whatever it needs to be.

And then: at 5:19pm Eastern, Chiron enters Taurus.

This is the first time Chiron has been in Taurus since the late 1970s. He’ll stay through September 17th, then return briefly to Aries to finish something up, before coming back to Taurus for the longer stay. What he’s moving toward is his own Chiron return — the first time since he was discovered in 1977 that Chiron returns to his discovery degree. That’s a year away yet, but we are at the leading edge of it.

Chiron in Taurus: am I enough? Self-worth. Scarcity. Worthiness. Body image. The trap of measuring your value by your bank account or your productivity. These are the wounds Chiron will excavate here. And the gift, as always with Chiron, is that the place where you feel most broken becomes your greatest wisdom.

What Chiron in Taurus can give us — individually and collectively — is abundance consciousness. The ability to cultivate true self-worth independent of external validation. Somatic wisdom. Body comfort. The ability to help others heal their nervous systems. A grounded understanding of what brings genuine, lasting stability rather than superficial comfort.

I’ll be going deep on Chiron in Taurus in the Venus Retrograde course, because it is directly connected to the Venus retrograde in Scorpio — Venus’ own sign — and the last Venus Star Point in Scorpio in our lifetimes. More on that if you come to the course. But know that this ingress is significant. Three months of a preview, and then the longer journey begins.

After Chiron enters Taurus: the Moon opposes Hecate at 4° — the torchbearer in Pisces saying hold steady, we are interconnected, you are held — and trines Okyrhoe — the divine child, the seer, the one who speaks truth to power and accelerates the revealing of hidden knowledge. We are birthing a new way of being and seeing things.

Saturday, June 20 — Towards the Solstice. The Goddesses Align.

The week closes on the day before the solstice, with the Moon in Virgo squaring Ceres and Black Moon Lilith — change is coming, leave the shame behind, the feminine has been changed for too long and it is time to change that.

Mercury in Cancer trines Nessus — be a better ancestor. Think differently about what we’re passing forward. And then three goddess energies line up in flowing aspects simultaneously: Ceres opposes Black Moon Lilith, and Venus trines Black Moon Lilith. The goddesses, the feminine energies that have come back into our consciousness as we’ve broken through the boundaries of the Saturn-only solar system — they are lining up together, saying: all of this is feminine. All of the cosmos is creative. All of it is co-creative, if we choose to work with it.

I keep thinking about this more and more — that all the myths were written from a patriarchal perspective, and so of course the planets were given his-stories. But the energies of the cosmos? Everything in the cosmos is creative. Everything is, if you like, she. I’m just blowing my own head open with this, and I have a lot more to say about it over time.

Head toward the solstice. Set your intentions from this week into the turning of the light.

The Cards in Detail

The Sun, reversed: The Sun card shows Helios — the sun god of the patriarchal myths. But the soul journey of the Sun card is really about the self: we have encountered challenges, but now enjoy the radiance of joy and vitality. Self-validation and the recognition of our achievements is now easy to acknowledge. Our heart fills with gratitude. Our inner light is shining with enlightenment, integration and wholeness. All is within our grasp.

And reversed, this week, I read it as a profound shift in perspective: the whole cosmos is creation, is feminine, is the creative principle — and you are seeing that creative principle within yourself. The reversal is the reorientation. The light isn’t out there; it’s been in you the whole time. What a shift.

Ace of Bees (Swords) — I Am Beginning: I always love the Aces. New beginnings, the pure potential of the element.

“Our treasure lies in the beehive of our knowledge. We are perpetually on the way thither, being by nature winged insects and honey-gatherers of the mind.”

Your inner voice may tell you what to prepare. Believe in your new ideas and allow space for them to flourish and grow in time. They will fly — and what emerges will bring you to places you have never imagined or foreseen.

I’ll be honest: that gives me (good) chills right now.

Seven of Bees (Swords), reversed: Upright this card speaks to vigilance — being watchful, strategic, sometimes at the expense of trust. Reversed, the invitation is to look within: where am I being hyper-vigilant? Where might I have been operating from manipulation or self-protection in ways that haven’t served me or others? The shadow, looked at without flinching, becomes the teacher. Throw out the trash. Find the inner gold. This is very much Hecate-as-garbage-eater energy — she devours what needs to go so the gold can be found.

The Dancer (Witch Oracle): I love this one deeply — and it feels like the whole week distilled.

“Now is the time to celebrate. If you have a particular achievement or success, you are invited to take time to enjoy it rather than hurrying on towards the next goal. Let yourself indulge the joy you have created for yourself.”

“If you pull this card when there is no specific celebratory event, the Dancer is here to remind you: in any given moment you can dance for sovereignty or hustle for approval.

The dance is birthed from knowing your deservedness and embodying your inherent worth. The hustle is birthed from the too-much-not-enough syndrome, which insists we conform, fit in, earn, prove, or produce in order to be worthy, valued, and loved.

Shed the hustle. It never produced anything for you except stress and pressure. Look at the trees — they don’t earn the sunshine. Look at the flowers — they don’t hustle to deserve rain and soil.

A witch recognizes the hum in her veins, the rhythm of heart and breath affirming the dance lives inside her. She doesn’t need to earn the right to celebrate, nor to show and share her brilliance. She simply lets the pulse of creation beat inside her.

Dance when you’re broken open. Dance when you’re perfectly free.“

Go dance. We’re getting there.

Summing Up

Peak change. Peak shift. The Venus occultation forming the lid of the July basket, opposing Pluto, aspecting Okyrhoe, with Hecate at 4° holding the whole configuration. Chiron stepping into Taurus and beginning the excavation of self-worth, abundance consciousness, and somatic healing. Saturn and Pallas Athena exact at the witch number. The Dancer landing at the end of all of it.

This week is asking you to stop hustling for approval and start dancing for sovereignty. To look at the shadow — the Seven of Bees reversed — and throw out the trash without judgment. To let your new ideas take wing. And to see the light of the Sun not as something external and reverentially distant, but as the creative principle inside you, looking back at you from the mirror of the cosmos.

The trees don’t earn the sunshine. Neither do you.

Venus Back in Bounds. Mercury Almost There.

Venus goes back in bounds on Sunday June 7th — things start to settle down a little after weeks of out-of-bounds wildness. Not all the way settled, because Mercury stays out of bounds until June 14th, but the more erratic, beyond-the-pale energy begins to ease.

And a note on Chiron: he is now at the anaretic degree of Aries — the final, threshold degree — and will sit there for a while before heading into Taurus. This is the beginning of a long journey toward Chiron’s own return to the degree of his 1977 discovery — the first such return since he was found. That’s about a year away, but we’re at the leading edge of it now. The wound of the masculine is at its threshold. Something is completing.

The Cards — A First Glance

From the Red Seeds Tarot and the Witch Oracle: Seven of Torches, The Hermit reversed, Two of Vessels reversed, and The Companion.

Courage asked for, a caution against withdrawal, a caution against disconnection — and then the Companion landing at the end with her message about the body as a sacred cauldron. This week asks us to be brave enough to stay in it. More at the end.

The Astrology at a Glance

The centrepiece of this week is the Venus conjunct Jupiter at 25° Cancer on June 9th — a genuinely significant conjunction that closes one chapter and opens another. Everything else is woven around it.

Sunday, June 7 — Moon in Pisces. Venus Back in Bounds. Hekate, North Node, Haumea.

We open the week with the Moon in Pisces — and what a configuration it finds itself in. The Moon moves up to Hekate, the triple moon goddess with the torch, showing the way forward at the crossroads. Then she meets the North Node — the direction we’re heading, that Piscean energy of interconnectedness, trust, inner knowing, the intuitive feminine coming back in. And all of this sextiles Haumea in Scorpio — regeneration, birthing something new from the deepest place of empowerment.

This cluster then aspects asteroid Lilith (talk to the hand, taking rightful place), Uranus (the aha moment, the sudden awakening, the benevolent rebel), and Sedna (adapt or change — the most fundamental question of how we live on this earth). Everything pointing in the same direction. We are changing. The wheel is turning. Some people are still in denial, and that’s their choice. But I keep seeing it — in different places, at different scales — things shifting.

And I want to say something here, because the Moon in this Pisces cluster is pressing it: we are at the end of a great age. In the last few ages before this big turning point, language was encoded, astrology was encoded, religions became monotheistic, and the patrifocal energy of control, domination, and separation took hold in every realm. I’m reading The Alphabet Versus the Goddess right now, and it’s saying exactly what I’ve been thinking. This is why I’m on a mission to change the language of astrology — to make it more connected, more matrifocal, more rooted in the truth that we are part of the cosmos, not separate from it. Watch this space.

Pallas Athena squares Pholus — the creative strategist pressing against the lid-off energy of Capricorn institutions. We are in a spiritual crisis around the structures we live under, and Pallas Athena is saying: it’s time for a new start, time for justice, time to bring the right brain and left brain together. Again.

Venus — back in bounds, freshly returned — trines Nessus: seeing the toxins, the abuses of power, and beginning to create something genuinely different from that seeing. Becoming better ancestors. And the Moon trines Mercury in Cancer: think with your heart, process through your emotional body, do something differently.

Monday, June 8 — Ceres Sextiles Neptune. Mercury Squares Vesta. Last Quarter Moon in Pisces.

Ceres in Gemini sextiles Neptune — an aspect of opportunity. Ceres is at the degree Uranus will be at when we have the [cradle aspect pattern] in July — a degree of stability, needs met and unmet, calling and calling. In Gemini: perspectives, voice, local community, alliances. People are going to start making more interconnected alliances at every level. This is already happening.

Mercury squares Vesta — before you dive into all the new information and changed perspectives available this week, check in with the inner flame. What are you actually committed to? What does the knowing in you say, before all the noise?

And then: the Last Quarter Moon in Pisces. The crossroads. The crisis in consciousness. The releasing side of the cycle.

The Sandbach symbols for this degree are ones I want to sit with for a moment.

The Omega symbol: getting on their hands and knees, a person uses a piece of white chalk to draw a circle around themselves. This degree has an intuitive sense of how to protect itself and how to filter out influences that might be disturbing or disruptive. It’s always able to find a space in which to work, and has a special gift for clearing the atmosphere so that whatever needs to be accomplished can be done. If it follows its impulses, the result will always be magic working through it.

The Chandra symbol: a kangaroo and her baby who looks out from the mother’s pouch. When a kangaroo is born, it immediately crawls into the pouch — a second womb. For these mammals, birth is a slow, gradual process that happens in stages. Sandbach says this degree, at its highest, experiences the universe as a great mother who eternally offers safety and protection. It may feel isolated and different from others, but with usually no sense of alienation. It knows that we are all children who are being raised and taken care of by a reality that is utterly intent on our reaching our highest potential.

We are held. That is the message of this Last Quarter Moon. Even in the releasing, even in the letting go, we are held.

And there are two cradle aspect patterns building — one in July at 4° with Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, and Jupiter in Leo, and one in June next year at 6° with Ceres. Both have Haumea as the handle — the regeneratrix, the Hawaiian goddess of endless rebirth. These feel to me like the cosmos saying: you are in a cradle. You are being held. Work with this, not against it.

After the Last Quarter Moon, the Moon conjuncts Nessus — releasing more of the old toxins, becoming better ancestors — and then trines Venus and Jupiter, who are about to meet. That trine is a taste of what’s coming on Tuesday.

Tuesday, June 9 — Venus Conjuncts Jupiter at 25° Cancer. Hekate Reaches the North Node.

This is the one.

Venus conjuncts Jupiter at 25° Cancer.

The last time these two met was August 12th last year at 14° Cancer — conjunct Sirius, the sun of our sun, the dog star, the star that ancient traditions associated with the beginning of a new era. I published my book on Ceres that day. That conjunction was the seed. Since then, Jupiter has traveled all the way to 25° Cancer, gone retrograde, come back to almost where they met, and now Venus has caught up and they meet again — but now at 25°, the degree Jupiter has been heading toward all along. Jupiter is in new territory. Venus has been all the way around. And Venus is now taking the lead.

The Sabian symbol I want to share for this conjunction degree: a dark shadow or mantle thrown suddenly over the right shoulder. James Burgess says this is about enacting the soul’s purpose — when we align our worldly aims with our soul’s essence vibration, we feel as though we have been blessed by divine dispensation. True success is an endowment. It may feel as though one is blessed by higher forces, but in truth, the benefactor of this endowment is our own higher self — accessed whenever all sides of personality are mastered and brought into harmony. The inevitable outcome of this process is that we become influential over those who have imbalances, so we are then able and inclined to guide those around us towards the realization of our higher purpose.

Mark Edmund Jones’ keyword for this degree: destiny.

That dark shadow thrown over the shoulder — I think of it as the 96% of the cosmos that is dark matter and dark energy. It’s overtaking the energy of control, domination, and the illusion of separation. This is our destiny. We chose this moment.

Venus and Jupiter are also square to Eris in Aries — we’ve got to have a new start, flip some tables. Standing up for the outsiders, the marginalised, the ones who were excluded from the feast. I keep hearing that phrase everywhere now. That’s not a coincidence.

And meanwhile: Hecate reaches the North Node at 2° Pisces. The torchbearer arrives at the direction we’re heading. The triple moon goddess, the lamp bearer, shines her light directly on the Pisces North Node — interconnectedness, trust, the intuitive feminine coming home. As the Nodes finish their journey in Pisces and Virgo, Hekate is there at the end saying: this is the way. This was always the way.

Wednesday, June 10 — Moon into Aries. Ceres Trine Pluto. Focus and Release.

The Moon moves into Aries and connects with the Aries stellium — Chiron, Neptune, Pallas Athena, Saturn. Fire and action and new starts. Our emotions saying: no, we are not. Talk to the hand. More aha moments. We know we have to adapt. The Moon conjuncts Neptune — trust, let it flow, don’t fight the river.

Ceres in Gemini trines Pluto retrograde in Aquarius — the first opening trine in air between these two since they met at 0° Aquarius on December 7th, 2024 with Venus present. That was the seed of this whole story. Now, in the signs of ideas and rapid change, this trine is saying: we can change. We’re starting to see what we can do — to protect the climate, to protect the future, to shift our perspectives at a foundational level. I’ve felt for a long time that we’re moving toward this, and everything keeps saying yes.

The Moon then conjuncts Vesta and Pallas Athena and Saturn — in the releasing phase of the lunar cycle, this sequence is about releasing distractions. Really focusing inward and forward. Creative intelligence and determination, building something new, brick by brick. Late on the 10th, the Moon sextiles the Sun — the last Ptolemaic aspect before the new moon. We are in the dark of the approaching cycle.

Thursday, June 11 — Asteroid Lilith Conjuncts Uranus at 2° Gemini. Moon in Taurus. The Two Rebels Meet.

The Aries Moon conjuncts Eris — the table-turner — and then squares Jupiter and Venus in Cancer: what are we doing about it? What are we creating? What new relationships, what new families, what new communities are we building as we let go of the extinction burst of everything that hasn’t been working?

And then: Asteroid Lilith conjuncts Uranus at 2° Gemini.

Two — the number of the divine feminine. Asteroid Lilith — the original divine feminine, the one who was put in a corner and said I was created equal and I will not submit — meets Uranus, the benevolent rebel, the great awakener. These two, at the divine feminine number, in the sign of communication and new stories. This is revolutionary. This is rebellious. This is the aha moment, the pattern-breaking, the we’re done, we’ve got to change, and we will. You may have downloads around this. Let them come.

The Moon moves into Taurus and the pace settles — we’re in the last stretch of the lunar cycle now, getting rooted, [returning to values], preparing to release what’s finally ready to go. Asteroid Lilith squares the Nodes in fixed signs — a turning point. Talk to the hand. We are changing things. The Moon opposes Haumea (regeneration, rebirthing) and meets Okyrhoe (the seer, the divine child, the prophetess) — the people sensing what is being reborn, what is about to come through. More women speaking out, perhaps. More voices from the earth itself.

The Moon squares Pluto — throw out the trash, find the inner gold.

Friday, June 12 — Venus Squares Chiron. Venus Enters Leo. Chariklo Holds Space.

Venus makes her final aspect in Cancer: a square to Chiron at the anaretic degree of Aries. The last degree, the liminal threshold. Cardinal signs — starting something new. Creating from a completely different place than we have created from before. Venus has carried the wound of the masculine into this final confrontation, and what she’s asking is: what are we creating now? What do we build when we build from wholeness rather than from the old wound?

The Moon aspects Chariklo — still retrograde in Aquarius, still quietly laying the stones for the path, still gracefully holding space and weaving the new story — before the big shift.

And then: Venus enters Leo.

Venus in Leo. Shiny, joyful, radiant, generous, creative. This is self-care, it’s finding joy, it’s making sure you have a joyful life and that you create from that place. Operating from joy — to quote my friend Nora Harold. And Venus in Leo is heading toward some significant territory: she’ll oppose Pluto, aspect Neptune and Uranus, and foreshadow the July cradle aspect pattern — she will be where Jupiter will be for that configuration. Everything is building.

Almost immediately after Venus enters Leo, the Moon enters Gemini — and we shift from earth and water into fire and air. The dark of the Moon. By the time the Moon enters Gemini, the Sun and Moon are only 22° apart — we are in the new moon phase, approaching the Gemini New Moon. A new lunar cycle is about to begin. But it’s in a completely different space than the one we’ve been coming out of.

The Moon and Venus speak to each other immediately — creating from joy, from the heart. Then the Moon conjuncts Sedna (adapt and change), squares the Nodes (still at 2°, heading toward the drain of the South Node), and conjuncts Uranus and Asteroid Lilith — everything saying, together: we’re not fighting against anything anymore. We’re just setting intention and creating the change we want to see in the world.

Saturday, June 13 — Dark Moon. Sun Squares Nessus. Hecate Shows the Way.

The final day of the week in the dark of the Moon — the Moon conjuncts Uranus and Asteroid Lilith once more, completing yesterday’s rebellious, aha-moment energy, and then squares Hecate in Pisces. Hecate, the triple moon goddess, still shining her torch in the sign of trust and compassion and interconnectedness. This is the way. Stay with it.

The Sun in Gemini squares Nessus at 22°. Twenty-two — the master builder number. The Sun, in the sign of new perspectives and communication, pressing against the centaur of toxins and accountability, is saying: we can build better communities. We can build a better world. We can be better ancestors than those who came before us — not because those ancestors were always bad, but because they were living in the world they were living in. We can see further from here. We build further from here.

The Cards in Detail

Seven of Torches — I Am Courage: Rumi: “Who has seen a shadow separated from the light?” The shadow of fear and uncertainty is inseparable from the light of what we’re building toward. This week: we remain resilient and focused, even though a part of us wants to flee and run away. Stand firm. Stand strong. Remember to breathe. We are being asked to stand beside our fears and the unknown. We may feel exposed and vulnerable. Let us claim our power and courage and trust that our inner flame will light the way. What is before us is what we have chosen, and we can now accept the responsibility of our choices. This bravery is a great achievement. Our soul is revealing itself. We are awakening.

That’s the card. That’s the week.

The Hermit, reversed: The Hermit upright is a call to go within — and I’ve been saying that for weeks. But reversed, this week, it’s a caution: too much navel-gazing, too much withdrawal, too antisocial a perspective. The inward time needs to be balanced with being in the world, because we need each other. The Hermit reversed is saying: come out of the cave a little. Bring what you found in there into contact with other people. We cannot build the new world in isolation.

Two of Vessels, reversed — I Am Union (but not quite yet): Two of Cups reversed is a caution around lack of connection, lack of balance, possible disagreements, not quite leaning into that sense of interconnectedness. With the North Node in Pisces asking us toward union and the Venus-Jupiter conjunction manifesting in the sign of home and birth — this card is pointing at where the resistance still lives. Notice where you’re holding back from genuine connection. Notice where you’re out of balance. That’s the work.

The Companion (Witch Oracle): “Your body, like a cauldron, holds the energy of what you put into it. Are you putting shame, diminishment, or rejection into it? Or acceptance, appreciation, and adoration?”

“Science would have you believe your body is an experiment. Religion would have you believe your body is a sin. A witch would have you believe your body is a marvel — a cauldron of celebration, home to spells of delight, healing, and wonder. Your body is a sacred companion. She is the one entity that will never leave you during your journey as a human. She is always working on your behalf to restore, heal, and create the balance that allows you to fully participate in this life. That kind of loyalty deserves devotion, not diminishment.”

“Shed the weight of expectations. Trim down the thoughts of too much and not enough. Dance like your hips move mountains. Put some magic of unabashed self-approval in your cauldron, and witness how the steam of that self-esteem wafts out into the world, passing on permission for other women to feel the same about their unique shape. A witch understands that liking herself and her body just as it is, in a toxic patriarchy, is an act of rebellion.”

This is Venus in Leo. This is the week. Be the rebel.

Summing Up

Venus back in bounds. Jupiter and Venus meeting at the destiny degree in Cancer. Hecate reaching the North Node. The two rebels — Asteroid Lilith and Uranus — meeting at the divine feminine number. Venus entering Leo. The dark of the Moon. The master builder Sun squaring the last of Nessus.

The cards are asking three things of you this week:

Be courageous enough to stay visible. Don’t retreat so far into the Hermit mode that you forget we need each other. And tend your body — the sacred companion who has never once stopped working on your behalf — as the act of rebellion it actually is.

We are manifesting. We are birthing. We are in the destiny mantle moment.

Dance like your hips move mountains.

Something happened yesterday that I want to share with you.

Two publications — International Business Times and Wellness Voice — both ran a feature on my work on the same day. It’s the same article, which means the universe apparently decided one outlet wasn’t enough to make the point. I’m choosing to take that as a sign rather than a coincidence, because that’s literally what I do for a living.

The piece is titled “Louise Edington On Reclaiming the Language of the Stars Through Intuition, Embodiment, and Matrifocal Wisdom” — and it covers a lot of the territory that sits at the heart of everything I teach: why astrology has been flattened into sun sign memes, why the intuitive and embodied dimensions of the practice have been systematically sidelined, and why I think the future of this work lives in reclaiming astrology as a living language rather than a rigid set of rules somebody codified several patriarchies ago.

There’s also a chunk in there about the Venus Retrograde Heroine’s Journey, the astrology school I’m building, and the core thing I keep coming back to — that the planets impel, they don’t compel. We are in a co-creative relationship with these frequencies. Astrology is a mirror, not a mandate. (Yes, I actually said that. No, I’m not sorry.)

Now. The astrology of all this, because of course.

The Moon was sitting on my Sagittarius Ascendant when those articles dropped. Sagittarius has absolutely zero chill about broadcasting things. The Sun was conjunct my Gemini Moon — which rules communication, language, and making noise in public. Mercury and Venus are both out of bounds in Cancer, parked in my 7th house of contracts and collaborative partnerships, alongside my guiding planet Jupiter. And transiting Uranus is opposing my Mercury.

Out of bounds planets operate outside normal parameters. They do unexpected things. They don’t ask permission, and they don’t follow the script. Uranus opposing Mercury has been quietly rewiring the way I communicate, the audiences finding my work, and the conversations I’m being invited into.

I’m not saying this to be breathless about my own chart — I’m saying it because this is exactly what working with the cycles looks like in practice. The conditions were present. I showed up. The rest unfolded.

Before We Dive In

June already. Can you believe it?

We open the week with the Sagittarius Blue Moon on May 31st — I did a full separate video on that one, so go and watch it if you haven’t. And we move through a week that is, honestly, still a little wild. Venus and Mercury are both out of bounds, the Moon is out of bounds through the early part of the week, and there’s a lot happening. If your head is spinning, that’s appropriate. More on how to work with that rather than against it when we get to the cards.

Venus and Mercury — Still Out of Bounds

A quick orientation before we move into the week:

Venus has been out of bounds since May 5th and goes back in bounds on June 7th. Mercury went out of bounds on May 23rd and won’t return until June 14th. So this entire week, both Venus and Mercury are operating beyond the established norm — thinking beyond it, communicating beyond it, doing things they might not ordinarily dare.

Out-of-bounds planets are eccentric. They go their own way. And that means other people are doing the same — you might find yourself thinking I cannot believe they said that. Or you might be the one saying the thing you never quite dared to say before. Either way: this is the week for it. Venus going back in bounds on the 7th means things will start to settle down a little, but we’re still fully inside the wildness for most of this week.

The Cards — A First Glance

From the Red Seeds Tarot and the Witch Oracle: The Hermit, The Fall reversed, Five of Seeds reversed, and Maiden Journey.

Stillness, caution about distraction, seeds planted despite difficulty, and a magic carpet ride above the chaos. These four are a complete picture of what this week is asking of us. More at the end — but the short version is: go inward, rise above the noise, and know that you are making a dent in the universe whether or not it feels that way right now.

The Astrology at a Glance

Beyond the out-of-bounds planets, the biggest stories of the week are:

Mercury moves into Cancer on June 1st — a significant transit, and one I’ll probably do a separate video on.

Ceres meets Sedna, then Uranus — a rare and potent convergence in Gemini.

Venus approaches Jupiter at the degree where they met on August 12th last year, conjunct Sirius. Things that began then are returning.

Juno stations retrograde at 11°00’ on June 5th — exact to the minute, which feels deliberate.

Asteroid Lilith moves into Gemini on June 6th, amplifying the rewriting-of-stories theme.

The Moon is out of bounds through Monday, then returns, and Venus returns in bounds on the 7th. We’re heading gradually back toward the norm — but we’re not there yet.

Day by Day

Sunday, May 31 — Blue Moon in Sagittarius. Venus Conjuncts Hygeia. Mercury Sextiles Chiron.

We open the week with the Sagittarius Blue Moon — a blue moon meaning simply that this is the second full moon of the calendar month, nothing more mysterious than that. The full moon video has all the detail. But we’re under full moon energy for about three days, and the Moon is still out of bounds, so the emotional field is [heightened and a little erratic].

The Sun trines Pallas Athena, and the Moon sextiles Pallas Athena — the strategist, the creative intelligence, the one who looks at all the wild pieces flying around and asks: how do we pull this together into something better? Aries new starts. Pallas Athena in Aries is saying: there is a strategy here. There is a way through. Look for it.

The Moon sextiles Juno (sacred contracts, the future we’re building together) and trines Saturn (determination to build something different, something lasting).

Venus conjuncts Hygeia — preventative, holistic health, becoming whole. And Venus is now going back over ground she first covered after August 12th last year, when she and Jupiter met at 14° Cancer conjunct Sirius. She’ll be catching up to Jupiter again very soon. What have you learned in this extraordinary period we’ve been in? What have you integrated about becoming whole and moving forward? Venus is asking that as she retraces this ground.

Mercury sextiles Chiron at the very last degrees of Gemini and Aries — the anaretic degree, the threshold. Mercury in its own sign, the messenger, the trickster, the magician, at the final breath before it changes signs. We’ve seen the wounds. We’ve changed our perspectives. How are we going to move forward and write this new story? Mercury doesn’t particularly care which way it goes — but it’s ready to help write whatever we choose.

Monday, June 1 — Moon Still Out of Bounds. Mercury Enters Cancer. Thinking With the Heart.

The Moon in Sagittarius starts the day conjunct Black Moon Lilith — the wild elemental self, the part of us that has been shamed and diminished, now in the sign of freedom and truth-seeking. She is seeking freedom from all of that. I’ve just started listening to a book called Women and Power — a manifesto about how women’s voices have been eliminated, cut out, and diminished under patriarchy. And Mercury, right here, is saying: I’m hearing this. I’m going to do it differently.

The Sun trines Juno — we’re still under full moon energy, the new story of our sacred contracts with each other being built.

The Moon trines Eris — flip some tables. I am literally hearing people say those words more. In all areas of life, people are starting to act on it. The Moon sextiles Chariklo (the spinner of new stories, holding space gracefully for all of this) and trines Chiron (the wound, and more importantly, the medicine). Working together to write the new story.

And then: Mercury moves into Cancer.

This one is significant enough that I’ll probably do a whole separate video, but here’s the essence: Mercury in Cancer combines the intellect with the emotional, intuitive nature of the water sign. It’s thinking with your heart. Processing information through how it feels rather than purely through linear logic. It can mean empathic communication, something close to photographic memory, deep emotional intelligence. But the shadow is real too — Mercury in Cancer can be hypersensitive, can take things personally, can be defensive, can tip into overthinking and nostalgia for how things used to be. Watch for that.

And watch this transit carefully, because Mercury will station retrograde on June 29th at 26°15’ Cancer, then travel back to 16° Cancer by July 23rd — covering the same ground where Venus and Jupiter met last August 12th near Sirius. More on that as we get there, but the story that began last August is being revisited, deepened, integrated.

Tuesday, June 2 — Ceres Meets Sedna. Mars Squares Juno. The Waning Begins.

On Wednesday or Thursday, the Moon starts genuinely losing light — the full moon energy releases, things start to shift and give way. We’re waning toward the next new moon now.

Ceres in Gemini meets Sedna — and I think these two are both deeply connected to climate change, to how we live on this earth, and to the shift toward a more matrifocal way of being. Matrifocal: regenerative, reciprocal, rooted in care and tending rather than extraction. This meeting may bring more signals — perhaps more evidence — that we have to change our perspectives about how we live, or we’re in trouble. I say that not to frighten but to orient.

Venus is now approaching Jupiter at 14-15° Cancer — that degree where they met last August conjunct Sirius, the sun of our sun, the dog star, the star that ancient traditions associated with the beginning of a new era. Something that began then is returning. Watch what resurfaces.

The Moon aspects the Nodes — the Nodes are moving quickly now out of Virgo and Pisces, pushing us ever more toward interconnectedness and compassion. The Moon also squares Neptune — that spiritual warrior energy again, the fog clearing, clarity arriving not from the linear mind but from the deeper knowing. Build new structures from that place.

Mercury in Cancer trines Hecate — and I have to say something about this, because Hecate is my asteroid and I’m building a school around her (more on that soon). She is the triple moon goddess, the torchbearer, the way shower, the lamp bearer who helped Demeter-Ceres find Persephone-Venus in the underworld. Mercury in Cancer, thinking with the heart, connecting with Hecate at the crossroads: here is the path. You can feel which way it goes.

Mars in Taurus squares Juno in fixed signs — determined, grounded action to recreate our contracts with each other for the future. I’ll put it mildly: the old contracts are done. The new ones are being written in matter, in substance, in the material world.

The Sun sextiles Saturn — determined to speak out, determined to take in information that can shift perspective toward something more whole. Then the Moon trines Saturn — let’s build this differently.

Wednesday, June 3 — Ceres Meets Uranus at 2°. Hecate Squares Sedna. Mercury Squares Neptune.

Ceres meets Uranus at 2° Gemini. Two — the number of the divine feminine. And this is a rare meeting: the Great Mother energy meeting the great awakener in the sign of communication, learning, and changing perspectives.

I keep saying this, but: 95% of the cosmos is dark energy and matter — only 5% is what we can actually see as molecules and physical things. And yet almost everything we do is based on the physical, the visible, the measurable. Uranus is saying: break that pattern. Change the story. The divine feminine — and I mean the energy, not the biology — is not about dominance in the other direction. It’s about reciprocity, regeneration, the kind of living that is rooted in the whole rather than the visible fragment.

Mercury in Cancer aspects the Nodes, moving toward that North Node of Pisces and interconnectedness — becoming even more empathic, even more oriented toward feeling the connection rather than just thinking about it. The Moon begins to oppose Venus, oppose Hygeia, oppose Jupiter — this story building toward something.

Hecate squares Sedna — the way shower meets the energy of adaptability and survival. I really believe Sedna is about adaptation, about the fundamental question of how we change or [face the consequences of not changing]. Hecate is shining her torch on that crossroads right now. We have to adapt. The wheel is turning.

Mercury squares Neptune in Aries — Neptune in Aries is clearing fog rather than creating it, in this sign of spiritual warriorship and new beginnings. Mercury in Cancer is the heart-mind meeting the visionary. These two together are saying: tune into your inner flame, your inner knowing, process all this information through that knowing. Bring it down through your body, your polyvagal nerve, your spine. Feel it, not just think it.

Thursday, June 4 — Capricorn Moon. Tables Turning. Aquarius Moon Arrives.

The Capricorn Moon squares Eris — time to turn some tables, and to do it from a grounded, determined, long-view place. What is the new story? What are we actually building? The Moon trines asteroid Lilith — in Taurus, rooted in core values, in the senses, in reciprocity, in connection with the earth and nature and all of those things. We’ve had enough of the old way.

The Moon moves into Aquarius and immediately trines the Gemini cluster — think differently, pull the pieces together, write the story of the future. Aquarius after all the changed perspectives, all the table-turning, is the one who says: right, here’s what we build instead.

The Moon conjuncts Pluto — digging up shadow, yes, but also excavating buried treasure. That’s what Pluto actually does: it throws out what isn’t needed, individually and collectively, and then it says: here. Here’s what was underneath. Here’s your inner gold. I have a lot coming up for me around this — more of that will go into the Venus Retrograde course, because that’s where it belongs.

Friday, June 5 — Juno Stations Retrograde at 11°00’. The Goddess Asteroids Align. Venus Day.

Juno stations retrograde at exactly 11 degrees, 0 minutes, 0 seconds. I love that she stops at exactly 11 — the master number, the number of spiritual illumination, of seeing beyond the ordinary. And she then begins to move back toward Pluto.

Juno is our sacred contracts, our sacred partnerships, the [union of opposites] — the yin and yang, masculine and feminine, all those things that have been held in false opposition. In the myth, she was the queen of the gods. She is bringing it all back into balance, one step at a time. This station is another step in that process.

The Moon in Aquarius sextiles Vesta (sacred flame, devotion, commitment), conjuncts Juno as she stations (perfect timing — the emotional body meeting the sacred contract at the exact moment of its turning), sextiles Pallas Athena, and sextiles Saturn. A sequence of goddess energy activations: what are you committed to? What does wise action look like? What structures are we building? And the determination to do it.

The Moon then squares Mars in fixed signs — what are we making real? What are we manifesting? The Moon trines the Sun — more ideas, more changed perspectives, more invitation to see things differently.

Saturday, June 6 — Asteroid Lilith into Gemini. Moon Back in Bounds. Venus Almost Back In.

The week closes with asteroid Lilith moving into Gemini — the talk-to-the-hand energy, the done-with-this energy, now in the sign of communication, storytelling, and the rewriting of myths. The feminine coming back and saying: I am fed up of being sidelined, cut out, not heard. Nobody puts baby in the corner. We’re going to do this right, and we’re going to do it out loud.

The Aquarius Moon sextiles Eris — the opportunity to flip things, flip the story, flip everything that hasn’t been working. The Moon conjuncts Chariklo (still retrograde, laying those stones for the path, helping us weave the new story) and sextiles Chiron — we’ve seen the wound, we can see what the medicine could be. Whether it is to be, it’s up to each of us.

The Moon moves into Pisces late in the evening, squares asteroid Lilith, and Uranus squares Hecate — the great awakener breaking old patterns in conversation with the way shower, both very close to the North Node. Everything keeps telling me the same story.

Venus goes back in bounds tomorrow. Things will start to settle. The week has been scattered, erratic, head-spinning. That’s okay. The Maiden Journey card knows this — rising above the chaos isn’t bypassing it, it’s getting the perspective you need to chart the course.

The Cards in Detail

The Hermit — Disguised Demeter: In this deck, the Hermit is Demeter in disguise — the Great Mother who went into grief and withdrawal, hiding her light, letting the world go cold, until she found her way back. The card says: “Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself. At times, we become pilgrims in need of quiet contemplation and meditation. The self beckons us. We seek the light that illuminates our unconscious self. This is a time to find that peace and quiet — introspection can’t easily be accessed when we’re busy and distracted.”

There is a lot of distraction right now. Make sure you are making time for the stillness. Not as a productivity strategy. As a return to yourself.

The Fall, reversed — Persephone: The Fall is the Hanged Man — Persephone descending. Upright, it’s the willing surrender, the pause, the seeing from upside down. Reversed: a sense of stagnation, a disconnection from source. I read this as a caution this week — if you allow yourself to be too pulled into all the wildness and distraction on the outside, you won’t find your way into the Hermit mode. The disconnection from source is the risk. The remedy is in the card before it.

Five of Seeds, reversed — I Am Struggling (but not for long): Upright, this is struggle and hardship. Reversed — positive changes, because you are choosing to tune in, do the work, make progress. “Planting seeds in the world and in others, with every thought you think and word you speak and action you take, you are making a dent in the universe, and you matter in a very real way.” That’s Jennifer Williamson. We can choose to feel like it’s all being done to us and we have no power. Or we can choose the other thing. You are making a dent. Whether or not it looks like it from here.

Maiden Journey — Witch Oracle: “This is a spiritual quest journeying into a new venture. We are all journeying into a new paradigm.” The image is a magic carpet — and that’s exactly what it feels like right now, doesn’t it? A collective magic carpet ride. The card says: rise above the chaos and the mundane. This is not spiritual bypassing — it’s letting your heart move into that intuitive space to get the bat’s eye view of the course you are charting. Visualize yourself on that magic carpet above everything that’s happening down here. The chaos is real. It is also contained within something much larger, and from up there, the pattern becomes visible.

“We cannot discover new oceans without being willing to lose sight of the shore.”

Be courageous. The journey is real. We are in it.

Summing Up

Venus and Mercury out of bounds. The Blue Moon still reverberating. Mercury entering Cancer and learning to think with the heart. Ceres meeting Sedna and Uranus in Gemini, asking the oldest and most urgent questions about how we live on this earth. Venus approaching Jupiter at the Sirius degree, something that began last August returning for deepening. Juno stationing at exactly 11°. Asteroid Lilith entering Gemini and saying: we’re going to tell this differently now.

The cards say: find the stillness. Don’t let the distraction win. You’re planting seeds with every word and thought and action. And get on the magic carpet — not to escape the chaos, but to see the whole pattern of it from above.

The new story is being written. You’re writing it too.

Another week of changes. Shifting sands, shifting perceptions, shifting ideas. What a time we’re in.

Venus and Mercury — Still Out of Bounds

A quick flag before we dive into the week: Mercury went out of bounds on May 23rd, joining Venus (who has been out of bounds since May 5th and stays that way until June 7th). So from now until June 7th, we have both Venus AND Mercury acting beyond the established norm — thinking beyond it, communicating beyond it, doing the wild thing they’ve always wanted to do.

If you look at people with a lot of out-of-bounds planets natally, they tend to be very unique and eccentric — they go their own way. That’s what these planets are doing right now. Expect things to still be a little wild. Say the thing you might not have dared to say before. Think in ways you haven’t tried before. Going beyond established limits isn’t just permitted right now — it’s the theme.

The Cards — A First Glance

From the Red Seeds Tarot and the Witch Oracle: The Lord reversed, Queen of Torches reversed, The Hanged Goddess (upright — though she’s hanging upside down, that’s the card), and The Labyrinth Walker.

Two reversals and a pause. This week is pulling us inward — into inner agency, inner flame, inner stillness. And the Labyrinth Walker is telling us exactly how to move through it all. More at the end.

The Astrology at a Glance

We are still in a period of concentrated energy, but things are beginning to spread out. The planets that have been piled up together are starting to move apart — Ceres enters Gemini this week, joining the Sun, Mercury, Uranus, and Sedna there. One by one, the personal planets are beginning to move toward the South Node — the releasing point, the drain. Things that have been held in that intense concentration are starting to flow.

Key moments this week:

• Sun squares the Nodes at the “bendings” — a volatile but significant turning point

• Mars squares Pluto — determined, transformative action

• Hecate enters Pisces

• Ceres enters Gemini

• Chariklo stations retrograde at 26° Aquarius

• We head toward the Sagittarius Blue Moon on May 31st (separate video incoming)

Day by Day

Sunday, May 24 — Moon in Virgo. Mercury Out of Bounds Begins. Uranus Meets Sedna.

We open the week with the Moon in Virgo, having just passed over the South Node and Regulus. The South Node and Regulus are approaching their own conjunction — something to watch as it builds. The nodes are moving fast now, heading out of Virgo and Pisces, but we’re not there yet.

The Moon trines Pholus — the lid-off centaur, the spiritual crisis energy, the crossroads of integrity. We’ve seen the impact of this in Capricorn all year — that collective questioning of the institutions we live under. More of that, and more asking: where am I out of integrity? Where are we?

The Moon squares Mercury — Virgo and Gemini are both Mercury-ruled, so this is Mercury in conversation with itself. A little bit of a mind trick — the invitation to shift perspective again. The journey of changing how we think is not a straight line right now. It’s a winding one.

The Moon opposes Nessus (the toxins, the abuses of power named) and then trines asteroid Lilith — the talk-to-the-hand energy, the done-with-this energy. I cannot tell you how many people I’m hearing now — not just astrologers — talking about the rise of the feminine, the rewriting of the myths, the new story being born. I’m hearing it from friends, seeing it online, finding it in unexpected places. The wheel is turning. It’s going to take a while to fully change, but they are hanging on with their fingernails at this point, and the wheel doesn’t stop.

At 10:34am Eastern, the Moon moves into Libra — just over two days of seeking balance, harmony, and justice. The Libra Moon always wants things to be on an even keel, but it’s often more of a zigzag to get there. Work with that rather than against it.

The Sun in Gemini sextiles Neptune — pulling us toward interconnectedness, toward trusting and letting go, toward that more intuitive and interconnected way of moving through the world that we keep being called back to. Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus are all now in the peak periods of aspecting each other over and over at the same degrees — July at 4°, next June at 6°. We are inside something enormous and long-term. This sextile is one of the gentler invitations within it: come toward this. Trust it.

Uranus conjuncts Sedna — radical change meeting the adapt-or-survive energy. Sedna has an 11,406-year orbit — almost two quarters of the great wheel I keep talking about. When Uranus touches her, we are looking at the most fundamental questions of how we live on this earth as humans, and what the earth itself needs from us. I’ve never seen so many people talking about growing their own food, community gardens, local resilience. This is how we adapt. This is how we claim our own agency and sovereignty and create what we want to see in the world.

Monday, May 25 — Sun Squares the Nodes. Hecate Enters Pisces. Black Moon Lilith Squares Hecate.

At 4:47pm Eastern, the Sun squares the Nodes at 4° Gemini/Virgo/Pisces.

This is called the bendings — and it’s also known as the moon wobble, a term from astrologer Naomi Bennett. It can be a volatile time. Things are very much in flux in mutable signs. And the Sun is now moving toward the South Node, following Venus and Mercury, heading toward that releasing point — the drain of the old way of doing things.

The Sabian symbol for 5° Gemini (we always round up): a radical magazine asking for action. James Burgess writes: “going beyond established limits and collective opinions. Discovery leads to an unwillingness to accept the status quo. Any sustained push in one direction triggers a push back of equal intensity — however much the powers of civilized authority require conformity, there will always be those who choose, at whatever cost, to reach beyond the boundaries to discover what lies there. Almost by definition, these are the law breakers, the marginals, and the weirdos — feared, ridiculed, and scapegoated.”

I’ll let you sit with that.

The Omega symbol: two people calling to each other across a wide, deep canyon. Sandbach says: “You sense that behind all ideas there are deeper forces at work which, if we can contact them, can bring us together in wonderful ways. People can have difficulty understanding you, and may try to discourage you from your deep digging. You are always impelled, though, to keep meeting the challenges of connecting with people, for it is your destiny to stretch the understanding of others, and to help them communicate more deeply with themselves.”

The Chandra symbol: an immense tortoise with jewels inlaid on its back. The tortoise moves slowly, just as communication may proceed slowly when two people are calling across a wide canyon. The jewels on its back are the rich potentials being communicated — and the tortoise, who can only look forward or to the side, cannot directly see the beauty and wonder of what it carries.

“It is likely to take a lot of time and effort to communicate these riches. The two people across the wide canyon may need to use other means — hand signals, waving, more careful listening — or they may need to find a way to get closer to each other to bridge the gap. This is a place where Gemini is compelled to slow down and clarify itself, so these precious riches are not wasted.”

I’m already watching this happen online — people genuinely trying to build across the chasm. Not always successfully, not without friction, but the impulse is there. You will feel this square more potently if you have anything around 4° of the mutable signs.

At 7:19am Eastern, Hecate enters Pisces. Hecate — the triple moon goddess, the keeper of the crossroads, the holder of the keys to the upper world, middle world, and underworld — leaves Aquarius (the sign of the people, the future, the collective) and enters Pisces, the sign of interconnectedness, source, surrender, and trust.

Hecate in Pisces is saying: let go of the old so we can birth the new. Her torch is now shining in the sign of faith. I no wonder I pulled the Hanged Goddess this week. Let go.

Black Moon Lilith squares Hecate at the crossroads — the rejected, shamed feminine facing the torchbearer at this threshold. The divine feminine in all its forms saying: this is the way forward. This is where I’m shining the torch. Interconnectedness. That’s it.

The Libra Moon opposes Neptune (dissolving old illusions of separation), trines the Sun (new ideas, coming together, looking for common ground — not everyone agreeing, just finding the fulcrum point), opposes Vesta (what are you devoted to?), and trines Pluto — digging up old thought patterns and beliefs, realizing they have to go. A full air grand trine, in fact a kite, happening here: new ideas, the shadow examined, old ways released.

Tuesday, May 26 — Mars Squares Pluto. Venus-Moon-Pallas T-Square. Determined Transformation.

Mars in Taurus squares Pluto retrograde in Aquarius at 5°.

I want to give this one some context, because it gets a lot of doom-and-gloom treatment and I don’t think that’s the whole story. This is an opening square — Mars and Pluto met in conjunction on January 27th at 3° Aquarius. That was the beginning of this cycle. Now Mars has moved into Taurus and is making the first square, and things that began at the end of January are now ready to shift. Pluto retrograde is digging up the shadow — revealing more of what needs to change. Mars in Taurus is extraordinarily determined to manifest, to make things real, to create substance. I actually rather like this square. It’s driven, transformative, and it can push for real, lasting change. You’ll feel it most if you have anything around 5° of the fixed signs — Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius.

The Moon is still in Libra and will square Venus (Venus out of bounds, in mutual reception with the Moon — Cancer and Libra exchanging signs) at 8°. Eight: stability, infinity, abundance. And the Moon simultaneously opposes Pallas Athena. I love this — a T-square between the Moon, Venus, and Pallas Athena, all at 8°. Three divine feminine energies in creative tension, saying: what are we building? How do we do this differently? Where does wisdom and creative intelligence meet the world we actually want?

At 7:19am Eastern, Hecate enters Pisces — already mentioned above, but this is the exact timing.

The Libra Moon opposes Saturn — a hard look at self-limiting beliefs, the structures we’re letting go of. The Moon also squares Pholus — the spiritual crisis energy, the lid coming off, but also the drive to move forward from what we’ve seen.

Black Moon Lilith (back in Sagittarius, oscillating as she does) opposes Sedna and Uranus — that radical-beyond-established-limits theme again, the exiled feminine facing the imperative of change.

The Sun sextiles Vesta, the Sun makes an air trine to Pluto, Venus exactly squares Pallas Athena — creative intelligence and the goddess of love in friction that pushes toward clarity. What are we creating? What does wise, strategic action look like from this new place?

Wednesday, May 27 — Moon into Scorpio. Chariklo Approaches Station. Moon Trines Hecate in Pisces.

The Libra Moon trines Mercury out of bounds — thinking and communicating beyond established norms, finding that fulcrum spot where genuine dialogue might happen across apparent chasms. I saw Adam Kinzinger post something this week about building a big tent — about thrashing things out together, finding common ground, not just writing off everyone who once kissed the ring but showing up to have the harder conversations. That’s the energy.

The Moon squares Jupiter — what have you learned during Jupiter’s time in Cancer? What have you learned about safety, security, and how you want to expand your sense of home and foundation? Jupiter went retrograde at 25°09’ Cancer and is now revisiting ground it’s been over before. It leaves Cancer on June 30th.

The Moon opposes Eris (table-turning, disruption from the margins) and opposes Chiron (the wound and the medicine) in Aries. And then trines Chariklo, the spinner of grace — who is now approaching her retrograde station. Chariklo stationing means she’s at a standstill, her energy deeply concentrated at that point. The weaving of this new story is not being abandoned — it’s being held very still and very deliberately right now, so it can be seen clearly before the next phase of spinning.

At 8:52pm Eastern, the Moon enters Scorpio — and almost immediately trines Hecate in Pisces for the first time since Hecate moved into the sign. Water to water. The torchbearer in the sign of trust and surrender, meeting the deep-diving Scorpio Moon. Let go. Trust. You will find your way at this crossroads.

Thursday, May 28 — Black Moon Lilith Opposes Sun. Ceres Enters Gemini. Venus Squares Saturn.

Black Moon Lilith (in Sagittarius) opposes the Gemini Sun. The divine feminine in all its forms is very loud this week. Truth, vision, the future — all of it pressing against the Gemini Sun that’s doing things beyond established limits. We have to vision the future together. There’s a lot of evidence of this building.

The Scorpio Moon conjuncts Haumea — regeneration, birthing the new paradigm, the medicine of what’s been dying becoming what’s being born. Haumea has been a quiet but persistent presence through all of this — the Hawaiian goddess who endlessly regenerates, who cycles through aging and renewal, who births from every part of herself. The Moon touching her in Scorpio is deep and real.

Mercury squares Nessus — we are done. The buck stops here. We have to think differently, communicate differently. And Mercury out of bounds is already doing it — going beyond the norms, reaching for what hasn’t been tried before.

The Scorpio Moon opposes Mars in Taurus — deep emotional energy facing determined physical action. I feel it, I’m ready, I’m doing this.

And then: Ceres enters Gemini, joining Sedna, Uranus, the Sun, and Mercury. She was the last of this cluster to make the move, and now she’s there. Watch how all these personal planets are spreading out — the intense compression is beginning to breathe. Things are moving.

From my book on Ceres: “Care is found through communication, curiosity, and learning. Healing the mother wound involves reclaiming your voice, staying mentally agile, and nurturing diverse connections. Sharing stories, teaching, writing, and playful conversations feed your soul.” This is what’s available for all of us while Ceres moves through Gemini. Pay attention to it.

Venus (out of bounds, in Cancer) squares Saturn in Aries — a cardinal square. Venus doing things radically differently, going beyond the established norm, is bumping up against the structures and systems of the old way. This is an opening square — Venus looking back at Saturn and saying: we’re doing things differently now. We’re going to create different systems, different structures, different ways of living together. Saturn being the skeleton of everything — we’re reworking the skeleton.

Friday, May 29 — Venus Day. Mercury Sextiles Eris. Scorpio Moon into Sagittarius.

The Scorpio Moon trines Jupiter in Cancer — surrender, trust, have faith that we are moving in the right direction. But with aligned action. This is not sitting back passively. Jupiter is expanding the emotional container for what’s possible.

Mercury sextiles Eris — more talk of flipping tables, whether those exact words are used or not. Mercury out of bounds, communicating beyond established norms, in conversation with the original table-turner. Expect more people speaking truth to power, more calls for action, more voices from the margins saying we’ve had enough.

The Moon aspects Venus — water energy, creative and intuitive, letting go, going beyond the established way of doing things. Venus moving toward Hygeia: creating holistically, the integrated and interconnected world that we’re increasingly understanding ourselves to actually be part of. And Venus opposes Pholus — if something has been out of integrity, another look at that. More institutions showing where they’ve been out of alignment.

Saturday, May 30 — Chariklo Stations Retrograde. Moon Crosses South Node. [The Path is Laid.]

The week closes with two quietly significant moments.

While the Moon is still in Scorpio, it opposes asteroid Lilith — done, finished, no more of this — and squares Chariklo, who is stationing retrograde. The Moon then enters Sagittarius and immediately opposes Ceres in Gemini — all of this truth, higher understanding, learning to communicate and nurture our alliances, happening at once.

Chariklo stations retrograde at 26° Aquarius at 12:20pm Eastern.

The symbols for this station are extraordinary. The Sabian symbol (27° Aquarius): an ancient pottery bowl filled with fresh violets. Sandbach says: intuitive development of the hidden meaning inherent in things, stepping into that more intuitive and feeling-based way of processing, integrating the rational and the creative. This is pulling us toward that integration of intuition and rationality — away from the idea that one is more valid than the other.

The Omega symbol: love steadies a person’s irregular heartbeat. Our connections with ourselves and our reality are going through continual subtle adjustments. “This degree is acutely aware of all kinds of disharmonies that arise. It is also aware that the most effective way to realign these disharmonies is through turning one’s attention to feeling the love that is always there — and though it may not realize it’s doing this, this is the magic way it brings harmony to many different situations.”

The Chandra symbol: a human laying stones for a path. This degree may take great pains to do something, knowing that once it’s completed, the foundation is laid for greater ease in the future. “It shows the way, even though the way may be difficult. The building of these paths is an act of love that strengthens the heart of both the giver and the receiver.”

Chariklo, the spinner of grace, the cosmic doula who has been quietly holding space and helping us weave this new story — she’s going retrograde to lay the stones for the path more carefully. To integrate what’s been woven so far. To steady the heartbeat.

Mercury trines Chariklo as she stations — and Mercury is out of bounds. We have to write a new story. We have to start creating a new story to live by. The retrograde is not a stopping. It’s the laying of stones.

The Sagittarius Moon squares Hecate (which path? where is the torch pointing?), opposes Sedna and Uranus (wake-ups, more adaptation), squares the Nodes (moving toward the North Node of Pisces, of interconnectedness, of trust), and trines Nessus — all of it activating the big themes as we move toward what comes next.

And what comes next, on May 31st, is the Sagittarius Blue Moon — the second full moon of the month, a rare double Full Moon in a calendar month, it means nothing more than that. I’ll do a standalone video for that one. But we finish the week moving toward it: it’s time to let go of what we were, to become what we are choosing to create.

The Cards in Detail

The Lord, reversed — I Am Agency: In this deck, the Lord is Hades, Pluto, the underworld. And I want to say something about that myth that I think is important: the old patriarchal version of Hades as the terrifying rapist-king of the dead — those stories were written from fear, and from the desire to control. They were also about the disempowerment of the feminine in its full-cycle nature. The underworld, in many older traditions, was not a place of punishment but of transformation. Reversed here, this card is about finding your inner agency — the power that was always yours, that doesn’t come from the outside. It’s within. Always has been.

Queen of Torches, reversed — I Am Catalyst: “Love in its essence is spiritual fire.” Reversed — go within. Your eternal flame is inside you. She teaches us to breathe from the heart. I’ll just say: the messages keep repeating this week because they’re the same message. Go in. Come from the inside out. Love yourself first.

The Hanged Goddess — I Am Paused: “Within you there is a stillness and sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time, and be yourself.” Paused. Not stopped — paused. The Hanged Goddess is the one who sees everything differently because she’s hanging upside down — different angle, different perception. The pause is the point. There is something to be seen from this suspended place that cannot be seen from the rushing forward. Let yourself be in the pause.

Nothing is happening to you from out there. It’s all how you respond from the inside out. Astrology, at its best, helps us see that — not as a set of forces acting on us, but as a mirror for what’s already moving within.

The Labyrinth Walker — Witch Oracle: “A witch knows her journey moves inward and outward, in both directions. She doesn’t count the steps inward as accomplishment, nor the required steps outward as failure. She embraces both expansion and entropy and is devoted to the path as it circles and changes.”

We spiral in and out, in and out. Always have. The trick is staying devoted to the path itself, not to the idea of arriving somewhere. We can only control how we respond to all of this. And we are further along in the spiraling-down-the-drain of the old way of things than it sometimes feels. We are.

Summing Up

Both Venus and Mercury out of bounds. Mars squaring Pluto. The Sun hitting the bendings. Chariklo stationing retrograde. Ceres entering Gemini. Hecate in Pisces for the first time. The Blue Moon building.

It is a lot.

The cards are all pointing in one direction: inward. Inner agency. Inner flame. Inner stillness. The Labyrinth Walker spiraling in, and then back out again.

This week, when the outside gets very loud — and it will — come back to the thing the tortoise doesn’t know it’s carrying: the jewels on its own back. The richness you carry. The love that steadies the heartbeat. The path being laid, stone by stone, even when you can’t see where it leads yet.

You are the vessel. The agency is within.

Venus Out of Bounds — And What That Actually Means

Before we get into the week day by day, I want to flag something that runs through all of it: Venus went out of bounds on May 5th, and stays out of bounds until June 7th.

Out of bounds means a planet has moved beyond the Sun’s maximum declination — it’s operating outside the range of what’s considered normal, conventional, sanctioned. Venus out of bounds is eccentric, experimental, willing to take risks, do things she’s never done before, dress differently, invest differently, love differently. There’s a slightly daring quality to it — a I’ve always wanted to try that energy.

This isn’t reckless. It’s just genuinely beyond the norm in a way that can feel liberating. If you’ve had an impulse lately toward something you’d usually talk yourself out of, Venus out of bounds is saying: why not? Dye your hair. Get the tattoo. Wear the thing. Try the approach you’ve never tried before.

She peaks at her furthest out of bounds on May 21st–22nd, then starts returning toward the ecliptic. And on June 17th, Venus will be occulted by the Moon — like an eclipse, but for Venus — at 5° Leo, and that occultation passes directly over the United States. We’ll look at that more closely when we get there.

The New Moon Symbols — A Quick Addition

I want to briefly share the Sabian and Chandra symbols for the Taurus New Moon at 25°, since this week flows directly from it and I didn’t include them in the New Moon video.

The Sabian symbol (we always round up, so 26° Taurus): a Spaniard serenading his señorita. This is about focused desire — using your personal or artistic expression, your voice, your creativity to move toward what you want. James Burgess writes: “Having established our place in the community, we can further our individual expression of self, finding various roles by which to evolve our lives.” The keyword: constancy. The sustained expression of genuine desire, not the flash of impulse.

The Omega symbol: all over the city, words on scraps of paper flowing through the sewers. Sandbach says this degree has the gift of looking beyond the mind-garbage that floats in the world into higher realms of purity and harmony — non-attachment from thought processes, grounding and focusing others.

The Chandra symbol: grotesque rocks in a sand garden. Unusual, striking formations existing alongside the ground-down remains of other rocks. “The rising and falling of forms as they coalesce and then disintegrate. Beauty and meaning are ever present in nature and transcend words and all other constructs of the human mind. How wonderful and refreshing to get beyond the mind and to see the striking uniqueness and originality in every aspect of cosmic process.”

Hold that as the backdrop to everything this week.

The Cards — A First Glance

From the Red Seeds Tarot and the Witch Oracle: Ace of Vessels, Nine of Vessels, Two of Vessels, and The Companion.

Three water cards. Highly unusual. Water is fluid, changeable, erosive — it finds its way through everything. In a week of this much change, the cards are pointing you inward. To the emotional body. To the depths. To what you’re holding and what you’re receiving. More at the end.

The Astrology at a Glance

The single biggest story of this week is the sheer number of sign changes. Mercury enters Gemini on Sunday morning. Mars enters Taurus on Monday evening. Venus enters Cancer Monday night, also creating a Moon-Venus gate at 0° Cancer. The Sun enters Gemini on Wednesday evening. And the week closes with a First Quarter Moon at 2° Virgo on Saturday.

Additionally: Venus is out of bounds, peaking on May 21st–22nd. And the Sun conjuncts Uranus at 1° Gemini on Friday May 22nd — one of the bigger moments of the whole month.

Pluto retrograde is beginning to move, very slowly, back over its station degree. The outer planet heaviness is still present but beginning to ease.

Day by Day

Sunday, May 17 — Mercury Enters Gemini. Moon Conjuncts Uranus. A New Story Begins Speaking.

We open the week right after the Taurus New Moon — and immediately, the energy shifts.

The Gemini Moon conjuncts Uranus and then Sedna in rapid succession: awakening, rapid revolutionary change, the spiritual destiny of adaptability, change or stagnate. This is a wake-up call every time the Moon hits this point. Our emotional bodies and the collective — the people — are being jolted into new awareness. The Moon moves fast, so this passes quickly, but notice what stirs in you.

The Taurus Sun squares Chariklo — activating the mini grand trine of Hecate, Chariklo, Venus, Chiron and Mars that was so alive at the New Moon. The story we’ve been visioning, weaving, trying to find language for — we’re at the peak of articulating it. Things are moving toward the ends of signs and preparing to change. And this week, they do.

At 6:26am Eastern, Mercury enters Gemini — its own sign. Mercury as the psychopomp, the messenger, the trickster, the carrier of information and perception. In Gemini, Mercury is at home — quick, curious, communicative, pulling together apparently unrelated threads into sudden insight. Mutable air: fluid, adaptable, seeing from multiple angles simultaneously.

Mercury immediately conjuncts Uranus, then Sedna — all at 1° Gemini, the degree of new beginnings. Mind meets the awakener. Communication meets the imperative to adapt or be left behind. This is the beginning of the new story being spoken — not just envisioned. The first words of a new chapter.

Mercury also squares Regulus — the Royal Star, now firmly in the first degree of Virgo after its 2011 ingress. The lower and higher mind both pressed by this royal fixed star: change based on the information you’re taking in. Adapt. Write the new story. If we don’t, individually and collectively, we will struggle.

Venus sextiles Chiron and Mars — in a beautiful gesture that Cassie described perfectly: Venus is leading, pulling Mars gently along. Come on. You’ve healed that wound. You know what you’re doing now. You’re a protector, a guardian. Let’s do this differently.

The Moon squares the Nodes — a turning point, as always — and makes an air trine to Pluto. The shadow being excavated, the disempowerment being seen: time to claim your own power back. Time to write the new story from that place.

Monday, May 18 — Mars Enters Taurus. Venus Enters Cancer. A Moon-Venus Gate at 0° Cancer.

Three planets have now changed signs in less than 48 hours.

Mercury sextiles Vesta — focus and devotion in Aries, speaking to the Gemini mind: what are you committed to? What is your sacred intent? Push for that. Speak for that. All at 1°. All new beginnings.

Venus goes out of bounds is already running as a current — she’s moving, she’s eccentric, she’s doing things differently. The Gemini Moon squares Nessus (enough of this), sextiles Eris (time to flip some tables), trines Chariklo (do it with grace).

And then: at 6:25pm Eastern, Mars enters Taurus. Venus’s sign, earthy, determined, rooted in the senses and the material world. Mars in Taurus is slower than he likes — he can feel like a bull in a china shop at first, grumpy about the pace. But Mars in Taurus also has extraordinary staying power. He doesn’t start easily, but once he starts, he doesn’t stop. And Venus is in his ear saying: remember, you’re not just a warrior. You’re a guardian. You’re a protector of the earth and the grain.

Mars in Taurus making things real. Giving things substance. Building what actually matters.

Then, at 9:05pm Eastern, Venus enters Cancer. Home. Birth. Security. The foundation. Out-of-bounds Venus in Cancer is doing things differently around home, family, safety, belonging — experimenting with what nurtures, trying approaches to community and care she hasn’t tried before.

And within minutes of Venus entering Cancer, the Moon enters Cancer too — creating a Moon-Venus gate at 0° Cancer. These two meet at 9:49pm, with Mars still very much in aspect. This is significant. On June 17th they’ll meet again at 5° Leo — and that will be an occultation, like an eclipse of Venus. The path between these two meetings is worth watching. Venus is doing things beyond the norm, building toward that Leo meeting, and these two months are the journey.

The Sun at 28° Taurus squares Hecate — which path are you choosing? Which way is the torch showing? At this threshold moment, with so much changing, the question is live and real.

Tuesday, May 19 — Mercury Sextiles Neptune. Venus and Mars Sextile Each Other. Inspirational Downloads.

If you’re the kind of person who gets ideas in the middle of the night, keep something by the bed this week.

Mercury sextiles Neptune in the early hours — intuitive knowing, inspired ideas, the rational mind in conversation with that deeper imaginative field. This is the aspect of opportunity, meaning it can slip by if you’re not paying attention. But it also comes through in dreams, in the liminal space of almost-sleep. Something is trying to come through. Let it.

At 1:37am Eastern, Venus and Mars exactly sextile each other — the cosmic couple, now in each other’s signs (Mars in Taurus, Venus’s sign; Venus in Cancer, moving toward what Mars protects), working together. Venus is leading. Mars is following, not reluctantly but genuinely — because something has shifted in how the masculine relates to the feminine directive. What are we creating together? What are we sculpting, of substance, that will last?

The Moon squares Neptune, then Pallas Athena — inspiration, creative intelligence, ideas that seem to pop out of nowhere. A lot of download energy, particularly with all the sign changes happening simultaneously.

Mercury squares the Nodes — Mercury in Gemini (its own sign) squaring the Virgo South Node (Virgo is Mercury’s other sign). This is the mind at a crossroads between old analytical patterns and the new way of knowing. Let go of the filing, the over-analysis, the compulsive need to have it all sorted before you can move. And then Mercury trines Pluto — all this practical urge to make something meaningful connected to what’s being excavated, what’s being thrown out, what’s being transformed. The inner gold alongside the shadow. Both real. Both useful.

Wednesday, May 20 — Sun Enters Gemini. Ceres Squares Chariklo. The Energy Opens Out.

The Sun enters Gemini at 8:36pm Eastern. Gemini season. The biggest sign-change of the week in terms of sheer collective energy shift. After the long, rooted, sensory immersion of Taurus season — with all its weight and depth and excavation — we step into air. Ideas. Curiosity. Multiplicity. The ability to hold more than one thing in mind at once.

The Sun joining Mercury and Uranus in Gemini is a genuine opening out after weeks of compression. Not resolved — but breathable.

Before that, Ceres squares Chariklo — the Great Mother asking the spinner of grace: what are we weaving for our collective needs? What new story are we creating that actually feeds people, that feeds the earth? It’s a friction aspect, a creative tension. The answer isn’t obvious yet. But the question is being asked more loudly.

The Cancer Moon conjuncts Jupiter — and I want to sit with this one. Jupiter is the great expander, and it’s gaining speed now after its station. The Moon in its own sign, out of bounds, conjuncting Jupiter: enormous emotion, enormous hope, enormous sense of possibility. This is what I’d call hopium — but the genuine kind. Not bypass. Not denial. The real thing, the kind that arrives when you’ve felt the grief and the loss and the fury and you come out the other side and see: we can still build something new here. The people, the community, the collective — there is something genuinely alive in this.

The Moon then trines Nessus (enough is enough), squares Eris (tables need flipping). The hope and the anger are not contradictions. Both are fuel.

Mercury sextiles Pallas Athena — innovative, creative intelligence buzzing. Ideas that feel like they come from nowhere, like a light switched on. There is a lot of download energy in this week and this aspect amplifies it. Catch what comes through.

Thursday, May 21 — Venus at Peak Out of Bounds. Water Grand Trine. The Creative Void.

Venus reaches her furthest out of bounds — 25°04’ — on May 21st–22nd, then begins her return toward the ecliptic.

At peak out of bounds, Venus makes a water grand trine to Haumea and the North Node — pure regeneration, the Pisces North Node of interconnectedness and surrender to something larger, and Venus doing things beyond the norm, all in flowing water conversation. This is that creative void energy — the creation myths that speak of everything emerging from water, from chaos, from the dream time. We can regenerate something completely new. Not patched up. Not reformed. Genuinely new.

Venus squares Vesta — the focused devotion of Aries pressing against this watery, expansive creativity. What are you actually committed to creating from this place? The friction between the unbounded imaginative field and the focused flame. Useful friction. Let it clarify rather than paralyze.

Friday, May 22 — Sun Conjuncts Uranus. Mercury Sextiles Saturn. Light Bulb Day.

At 10:26am Eastern, the Sun conjuncts Uranus at 1° Gemini.

This is the big one of the week. The Sun shining its full light directly on the great awakener, at the very beginning of a new degree, halfway through that degree — maximum illumination. Suddenly I see. Suddenly I understand. Suddenly I know what needs to change, what needs to go, what someone else has been planning, what I’ve been refusing to see.

This can arrive as a genuine bolt of clarity — the kind that reorganises how you see things permanently. It can also arrive as news, as a sudden event, as something that comes out of nowhere and makes the landscape look completely different. Uranus is nothing if not surprising. Don’t try to predict what it will be. Just stay awake.

Mercury sextiles Saturn right after — deep clarity, and the determination to do something with it. Not just the aha moment, but the right, now I know, so what am I going to do? The mind meeting the builder. The insight meeting the structure.

Neptune conjuncts Vesta — the inner flame of devotion meeting the great dissolver. Inspired action. The commitment to create that flows from deep feeling rather than ego agenda. Some of the most meaningful creative work of your life can come from this aspect — it just won’t announce itself as such. Let it be what it is.

Mars opposes Haumea — Mars in Taurus, determined, earthy, the guardian of the grain, facing Haumea the regeneratrix in Scorpio. Regenerative farming, rebirthing the relationship between humans and land, fighting back against what’s depleting the earth and its resources — this opposition speaks directly to all of that. Mars in Taurus can make things real. Make the regeneration real. Ground it in the material world.

Venus moves toward the South Node — and this is the beginning of a pattern to watch over the coming weeks. One by one, the personal planets will overtake Uranus, then Jupiter, and begin heading toward the South Node — the place of releasing, of letting go of what we’ve been carrying from the old paradigm. Watch this as it unfolds. Mercury will slow down and retrograde in Cancer, but the others will move through, hit the South Node, release, and begin the new cycle toward the North Node. Things are going to keep moving.

Saturday, May 23 — First Quarter Moon at 2° Virgo. Guardian Angels. The South Node Crossed.

We close the week with the First Quarter Moon at 2° Virgo at 7:10am Eastern — the crisis in action phase, the crossroads of the lunar cycle, now falling right on the Nodes. The First Quarter Moon on the Nodes is a crossroads within a crossroads. Something is being decided, even if the decision is invisible right now.

The Sabian symbol (rounding up to 3° Virgo): two guardian angels bringing protection. Divine assurance. The presence of inner strength, help arriving when human efforts feel insufficient. Trust the invisible support. We are not alone in this.

The Omega symbol: a little girl hugs a giant quartz crystal larger than herself. This degree has an innocent part that can embrace the utter clarity of simplicity. The soul releasing memories, desires, karmas — cleanly and clearly. The energy you bring into the world is very healing and necessary.

The Chandra symbol: a woman doing delicate embroidery. Quiet precision and focus. And alongside it: the little girl of the Omega symbol acting in the opposite way, spontaneously expressing her feelings. Both approaches available. Both valid. In whatever this degree does, it is gentle and restorative.

The Pleiadian symbol: tall guardians from far-away stars. I keep thinking of what James Tallico said: call it God, or call it the cosmos — with you. And the azoth symbol: boat makers selecting the best trees. Choosing carefully what you’ll build your vessel from. And boats float on water. These are all very vessel-like symbols, for a week of three vessel cards.

The Moon trines Mars — earthy, tangible, making something real. The Moon conjuncts the South Node — let it go. The old way of thinking about how things should be done. The old relationship with the material world. Let it go. And then the Moon sextiles Venus — the personal planets leading the way, all heading toward the same releasing point, building toward the new cycle.

We close the week with the Moon crossing Selene, the white moon — purity of purpose, wholeness unto oneself, the pureness of wanting to be useful and to do good in the world. After a week of this much change, this is a beautiful landing place. Not purity in the old, constrictive sense. In the Virgoan sense: pureness of meaning. Pureness of service. Pureness of being whole unto yourself.

The Cards in Detail

Ace of Vessels — I Am a Receptacle: The Ace of Cups. Beginning. The pure potential of the emotional body, the heart, the depths. Carl Jung: “The sea is the favourite symbol for the unconscious, the mother of all that lives.” This card is saying: you are a vessel. You can receive and give emotional nourishment. You are held in the flow of the great mother. Dive deep. In a week of enormous change, the invitation is not to manage or control but to be receptive — to what’s coming through, to what’s being offered, to the water that knows how to find its way.

Nine of Vessels — I Am Thankful: Rumi: “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” This is the gratitude card. In a week of spinning change, a gratitude practice isn’t spiritual bypassing — it’s an anchor. Maybe literally nine things. Maybe just sitting with what you actually have, what is actually here, what is actually real. The abundance of the moment is not nothing. Tune into it.

Two of Vessels — I Am Union: Hermann Hesse: “They both listened silently to the water, which to them was not just water, but the voice of life, the voice of being, the voice of perpetual becoming.” Twos are decisions and partnerships, but in water they’re also the deep recognition of union — with another, with life, with the creative source. This card is asking where you feel that union, that sense of we are made of the same thing. Water. Creation. Love. Connection. Let yourself feel it.

The Companion (Witch Oracle): This is the body card. And it arrived right after three vessels cards — you are the vessel. What are you putting into the cauldron? Shame, diminishment, rejection? Or acceptance, appreciation, adoration?

The book says: “Science would have you believe your body is an experiment. Religion would have you believe your body is a sin. A witch would have you believe your body is a marvel — a cauldron of celebration, home to spells of delight, healing and wonder. Your body is a sacred companion. She is the one entity that will never leave you during your journey as a human. She is always working on your behalf to restore, heal and create the balance that allows you to fully participate in this life. That kind of loyalty deserves devotion, not diminishment.”

And then: “Shed the weight of expectations. Dance like your hips move mountains. Put some magic of unabashed self-approval in your cauldron, and witness how the steam of that self-esteem wafts out into the world, passing on permission for other women to feel the same about their unique shape. A witch understands that liking herself and her body just as it is, in a toxic patriarchy, is an act of rebellion.”

Venus out of bounds. Uranus in Gemini. This is the week for it. Be the rebel.

Summing Up

Four sign changes. Venus out of bounds peaking. The Sun conjuncting Uranus. A First Quarter Moon on the Nodes. Three water cards and a card about your body as a sacred cauldron.

This week will feel fast. It may feel disorienting. The invitation throughout is not to keep up with all of it mentally, but to come back, over and over, to the body. To what you feel. To the vessel you are.

The water cards are saying: receive. Let it move through you. Trust what flows.

The Companion is saying: your body is on your side. She has always been on your side.

The Sun conjuncting Uranus is saying: suddenly, you see.

And Venus out of bounds is saying: do the thing you’ve always wanted to try. The one you talked yourself out of. This is the time.
